“Great view from the balcony”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 30, 2007

My wife and I booked a tower room for the balcony and were quite pleased with the room. Unlike others we didn't find the street noise a problem, although the traffic congestion in Jackson was terrible. Walk whenever possible. The bed was comfortable, the room was clean, the staff was friendly, and the continental breakfast was about average.

This is a good location for any trips to Jackson , and we would book it again.

We stayed here 2 nights in route to the Teton National Park. The hotel was close to the square, but most were. The outdoor hot tub was not working and looked like it has not for awhile with the dead leaves etc. The indoor hot tub was VERY hot and was small. The staff was great in recommendations for food. We had pop up thunderstorms every day. We enjoyed this hotel and town and would stay again. In all the town was very friendly, and we had to search for "family" priced restaurants.

  • Liked — Location, price
  • Disliked — We had a table with sticky stuff on it when we arrived. The front desk person was from a foriegn country and had no idea what a "sticky table" was - he passed the phone. He did come and clean it immediately (we all had a good laugh in our room)

We recently returned from the Ranch Inn and we thought it was great. The staff is so friendly and helpful. We had a tower room that had a very nice outside deck with a relatively large table to eat outside. There was a refrigerator, microwave, coffee maker and hairdryer in our room. The room had two sinks, one in the bathroom and one in the room itself which was very convenient for our family, The continental breakfast was not vast, but it was just enough to get you going for the day, having cereal, toast, bagels, oatmeal, yogurt, fresh fruit, muffins, coffee, tea, juice, hot chocolate. The location of the hotel makes it so wonderful. It's so close to all the stores, restaurants and only a short walk to the rodeo and Alpine King ski area. I would recommend this hotel to anyone.

  • Liked — Location to town center square.
  • Disliked — Hot tub was way too hot.

This is a motel like property that has large rooms and is reasonable in a town where everything is expensive. You can park and walk to everything. It is easy to get out of town to get to the park and it is a must stay if you don't mind not much luxury.

We stayed at the Ranch Inn in Jackson for a weekend getaway. The room was extremely large, and clean, although a bit dated. We had a wonderful view off of our balcony and although the fire department was right across the street, we never heard an alarm. This hotel is right downtown which is great if you are planning on doing much shopping or browsing in downtown. Parking is a nightmare, but staying here you can walk to everything. We had a very enjoyable time and would definately stay here again.

4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 7, 2007

Stayed here just one night on a trip to Jackson Hole. Originally we booked the room for just two of us. We soon found that a couple more of the friends from our group would be meeting us and needed a place to stay also. There were four of us in a room with two double beds and we were comfortable. The room was large with a small balcony (which overlooked the parking lot but it didn't matter to us). The bathroom was quite large.
The Ranch Inn doesn't offer luxury accommodations by any means but it was clean and comfortable and the location is fabulous. We were walking distance to the town (where we went out for drinks) and to breakfast the next morning. The staff was very pleasant. We used their hot tub/jacuzzi and found it to be good for us (for one night). The only thing we didn't like were their towels - they are no bigger than a washcloth but, as a mentioned, this isn't luxury living. Great for the price.
