“Location, Location,(Service), Location”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 18, 2014

This was our second stay at the Ranch Inn, the first a number of years ago. With all the hotels/motels available to the traveler - this is the one we chose to stay in again. The Location is the chief selling point - It doesn't get any better for staying in Jackson and getting to the shops and restaurants. But the customer service at the Front Desk, and the efficient Housekeeping staff make this a Clean, appealing place to stay. An exceptional value, and a great choice...

Staying at the Ranch Inn makes my vacation truly unfortgettable. the customer service is friendly and helpful and they really seem to want you to enjoy your time spent in Jackson, The breakfast every morning was exactly what i needed and then some. Ask for the luxury balcony suit that overlooks Snow King, you'll enjoy beautiful scenery and early morning sunrises, both combined, makes for a perfect day on the mountain and a remarkable trip!

Room Tip: Ask for the room on the top floor, luxury suit overlooking Snow King

We stayed here two nights for skiing at JH Resort. It has a perfect location - as it is walking distance to the city park, all of the galleries, the shuttles, shops and restaurants. The rooms were bigger than I thought they would be, and very clean. The heat was volcanic (but adjustable). The price was right, parking was 6 feet from our room, and they were even waiting for us, with our late check-in, at 12:30am due to our long drive.

If you are going to Jackson Hole and want the full experience with excellent customer experience, this is the place to be. We had a suite and stayed in room 202 from December 22nd to December 29th. We enjoyed the comfort of the room. My son enjoyed the sleeper sofa becasue he felt like he had his own balcony to look out of and watch the snow. The view of Snow King Mountain from our balcony was a million dollar view! We also enjoyed the comfort and ambience of the western style King-sized bed. It had lots of western pillows and was so comfortable. It was great to come home after an exhausting day of snowmobiling.

The kitchen has a full-size fridge and a freezer, all cooking utensils, a toaster, a microwave, open concept style with two breakfast bar stools. The shower was nice and had a small heater in the bathroom. We never had a problem with the water getting cold in the shower and we took pretty long showers after our winter sports activities to soothe our muscles. We dressed up the fire place with a pop up Christmas tree that we brought from home and we put out the presents infront of the fireplace. It made the perfect place for Christmas. You need to pay for a suite and tell them on the phone that you want to be able to cook in it to have this type of room. You will find that the pearl street market has some neat groceries to choose from (they are expensive, but so is eating out) and the market is accross the street. For example, one night I bought some ground bison, pasta and sauce and made Bison Pasta which everyone thought was so cool. We also bought an alfredo sauce and applewood bacon, pasta and a bag of frozen peas that made another excellent meal. The housekeepers also did a brilliant job not only cleaning the room, but being able to do it around all our Christmas presents and big snowpants and many other obstacles along the way.

The staff was nice to us at The Ranch Inn and they had even put our Christmas treats like fudge.
I thought continental breakfast was nice and inviting and they had juices and warm beverages to choose from. They even had a lovely variety of teas to choose from. The staff also helped us understand how to use the free public transportation system. It would have been easier for them to tell us how to get to the bus that costs money as it picks up right there, but they went the distance and told us how to get arounf Jackson Hole for free instead and once we got the hang of it we got to see all of Jackson Hole instead of just a block or two of it.

It should be stated that the Ranch Inn is in the best location as it is. It is one block to Town Square, it's a short walk to the Jackson Hole Twin Cinemas and it is possible to walk to Snow King Mountain if you don't wish to take the bus. All of the tour companies are very familiar with the Ranch Inn, if you are being picked up there for an excursion as it the All Trans Airport Shuttle service. If you go to Jackson Hole and don't rent a car, you will have a flawless trip if you stay at the Ranch Inn because they will go over the map with you and really help you understand how to get around town. It's a healthy and safe feeling place to walk around there and if you are worried about being too cold, there is a boutique every few steps where you can go inside and get warm. So I say go for it if you want a true adventure and have a great vacation by staying at the Ranch Inn!

Room Tip: Get the Suite, it's not that much more per night to live the good life, save on Jackson's ex...

one of the best small hotels around. water was hot. the drains worked; no ankle deep showers. friendly, helpful staff. clean, updated rooms. comfy beds and spectacular views. this hotel is 1 block from the town square, the million dollar cowboy bar and too many shops to mention. just south of Grand Teton Nat'l Park and Yellostone make this hotel a great value.

We booked our room strictly on its location, but it was a great room and a good value! We arrived late in the evening and staff couldn’t have been friendlier. We had a “tower room” with 2 queens. It was very spacious and clean with a large vanity in the sleeping area as well as a full bathroom with a vanity, so everyone wasn’t fighting over the sink. The furnishings were nondescript, but well maintained. The balcony was great! It was a full balcony with a large plastic table and 4 chairs; a great place to drink your morning coffee or enjoy delivery pizza. Also tons of space to store luggage and equipment!

We were directly over Thai Me Up restaurant, but had no noise issues.

Continental breakfast was very basic, but sufficient. However we usually ate breakfast elsewhere.

The location it great! It’s Literally 1 block from the town square and convent walking to everything downtown. This will be my first choice in hotels for any future Jackson WY visits!!
