“Good for the money”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 20, 2013

A recent stay at the Ranch inn was pretty good. Let's get the obvious out of the way. This is not a 5-star hotel. However.... For the money and location it is a bargain.

The room was comfortable and clean. The help at the front desk was fantastic and friendly.

The biggest benefit of this property is the location. It is right in the center of town and walking distance to just about everything.

Jackson has become VERY expensive in terms of lodging. if you take into account the lower cost of this property and the ideal location for walking in town, I think it's a good value.

Wow! I expected such a hole to settle in ( by the reviews.....great location, ok rooms) for two days before my wedding up in Yellowstone.

Well, the room is awesome.
It is an older room, but it has been so well maintained, that it looks new. (Room 202) the carpet is clean (no slippers for nastiness), fireplace works, and a full kitchen. Heater and phone in the bathroom. Wifi. You want this room ...in any city in the world.
Service is awesome, the service staff cleaned all our dirty glasses, dishes, etc.
The location is stupid good. The hotel is stupid good.
I wish I had this choice everywhere I travel.

I wish that they would sell me this room as an apartment. Really.

Room Tip: The suite #202 was awesome- $200 per night. I asked for extra pillows....no problem.

This hotel was far below my expectations and definitely NOT what I had read in may reviews. Check in was ok but there was no lobby, just a stand up to counter (that was pretty grubby). The room was located well on the end upstairs allowing us a large balcony. The balcony had a plastic table and chairs, which was ok, but the pealing paint was not appealing. Inside the room was average size but over cramped with table and chairs, a stand holding the micro, frige, and coffee maker along with two end tables and two queen beds and the dresser and closet on the other side. The end table was scratched up and very ugly, the bedspreads (I hate bedspreads) were ugly and probably never cleaned (which is why I hate them). The bathroom had a toilet meant for a child...I haven't seen a toilet this low since kindergarten! Very uncomfortable for someone with bad knees. Awful nights sleep, uncomfortable bed and HORRIBLE pillows. Breakfast was only toast, cereal or muffins. I won't be returning....

We arrived in jackson with no accommodation booked, after trying a few hotels we arrived at ranch inn & got a walk in rate for their suite of 110 dollars. Best hotel room of our trip especially given the price. Suite had a kitchen, lounge & bedroom (open plan but separate areas), & was clean & tidy. Staff were helpful & the free continental breakfast was good. Great location in town. I would stay here again. If you can afford it get the suite.

A block from the town square and walking distance to most in town events. We had a 3rd floor suite which was very roomy and a balcony with a view of the local ski hill which had it's share of wildlife. The Ranch Inn also has an elevator which made things easier and off street parking. The continental breakfast was a little weak and the eating area was cramped but would stay there again as it is a great place to launch from.

Jackson Hole is a great town and we stayed at the Ranch Inn last time and knew we wanted to stay there again. We had a very comfortable suite with a kitchen and a balcony. The staff were friendly and helpful, especially when we managed to lock ourselves out from the room when we were on the balcony. We called down to a pedestrian who kindly alerted reception who came and unlocked our balcony door. We self-catered and there is a fantastic food market just across the road.Highly recommended.

I enjoyed my stay at the Ranch Inn, Jackson Hole, WY. The price was good (by Jackson Hole standards) and the room was very clean. Location was excellent--only a short walk to Town Square! The continental breakfast was quite basic, but adequate. The breakfast area was small and, at times, very crowded! The front desk clerks were very friendly and helpful. On clerk even printed my airline boarding pass for me! All in all, a good value for a visit to Jackson Hole!
See photos.

Room Tip: Choose upper floor in back of hotel to assure a quiet atmosphere.
