“Great location, great value!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 29, 2013

We spent two nights at the Ranch Inn on our way home from four days at West Yellowstone. We have stayed here on several different occasions before so we are familial with the hotel. We like the "tower" rooms because they have balcony's for sitting in the fall and summer and views of the Snow King ski slopes. The famous town square is located just a block away from the Ranch Inn. Dedicated parking is free.

This time we had room 263 which is spacious and appears to be newly renovated. It featured a comfortable king bed, refrigerator, microwave, large couch, and a desk. WiFi is complementary. There is an elevator to the 2nd & 3rd floor rooms.

The staff is friendly and go well beyond expectations to please their guests. The breakfast is the barest of basics which is the only reason for 4 stare instead of 5.

I will always return to tis property when in Jackson.

Room Tip: I think "tower" rooms are best.

What made the Ranch Inn great for me was the ambiance: friendly and easy, low-key but conscientious. I was here for a week with a one-year-old, and everyone was unfailingly cheerful and helpful. They went out of their way to make us feel welcome and comfortable - especially manager Tom, who recommended the Children's Clubhouse as a place for kids when it's too cold to play outside, and Chelsea, who was baby E's best friend. Thank you all for a great stay!

As other reviewers mention, if you want fancy, this isn't it. But if you want a great location and good value, with simple comfort and wonderful people, you won't do better.

We just stayed 5 nights at this hotel and it was great. We stayed in room 205, which was a suite. Very large room w fireplace overlooking town square. They provided all the free wood we could use and a small breakfast in the lobby each morning. Loved being one block from the center of town.

The noise outside with the ice scraper was a bit much one evening or should I say morning 12:00 am.. And bring your own pillow. Other than this, I would highly recommend this hotel!

The Ranch Inn is ideally situated in Jackson close to the Town Square. The rooms are very comfortable and of good size. Staff very friendly and helpful. Breakfast simple but sufficient. There are no frills about the hotel but for the location it is very good value and provides all you really need, especially a good night's sleep.

Was only going to stay one night here but thanks to a poor experience at Lake Lodge Cabins in Yellowstone we stayed two.

On short notice the staff were extremely helpful in adding an extra night to our booking even though it was a long weekend in Jackson.

Location is excellent, close to shops galleries and restaurants. Rooms clean spacious and comfortable.

Love Jackson

I want to feel bad about writing this, because the staff was nice; and they gave me a free " upgrade". I'm not sure what level the nice room pictured showing the comfy chair is, but it's not in the Tower Rooms. The room cost over $100 with tax. The bed quality was on par with a Motel 6 bed and the decor was on the level of a $60 a night hotel. The room was very large but no comfortable place to sit. My room had a balcony which would have been fun if I was a Twenty Something on a ski weekend with friends. However for a fifty something on a business trip wanting a good night's sleep, I was not happy that I was given a room across the street from the Fire Station, when the hotel was mostly empty.

Great value! This is not the Four Seasons, but it is a nice, clean hotel in downtown Jackson Hole. The room was basic, but clean. The toiletries are from Bath & Body Works, so that was a really nice surprise. Basic continental breakfast. Friendly check-in staff. Quick walk to downtown (just around the corner) and free wi-fi. There is no pool or hot tub, but we were just looking for a nice, clean place to stay and found it here. I would stay here again.
