“A great compromise, excellent value compared to other hotels in the area”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 5, 2010

I stayed here for 2 nights and was pleasantly surprised. A quick drive from downtown Jackson Hole, conveniently located in a quiet area but near a K-Mart for stocking up on supplies. The rooms were newly redone and had an Ikea-like vibe. Clean, quite spacious, and had a nice flat screen TV. Fairly quiet on the second floor, except for loud plumbing noises when neighbor showered or flushed. Overall, well worth it compared to the other hotels in the area.

One of the better Motel 6 we stayed in, newly renovated rooms with a nice feeling, good bed, clean room, tv, big bathroom. Location is great, Jackson Hole is a nice place in itself and it is also very close to Grand Teton. However, it is freakishly expensive and not worth the money.

Spend 30 dollars more and get a real room. This ultra modern nightmare is so crowded you can't even walk around the beds which by the way are mattresses on wood platforms. Stark and sterile are the words for this motel. Never again!

We were pleasantly surprised. The room looked either brand new or recently refurbished. It was very quiet. Good location. The beds were OK -- not great. It was the typical bare-bones -- no shampoo or Kleenix, etc. $3 for wi-fi. The room was very small. No real complaints.

We stayed 2 different times. Our first time for one night, we had a 2nd floor room, but no elevators. After lugging suitcases up the stairs, when we went back 3 nights later, we requested a ground floor room.
The first room was 1 Q, with plenty of room. Very nice, clean, newly refurbished motel! New flat screen tv, table & chairs, micro/fridge. Typical of Motel 6, no hairdryer or alarm clock, soap and shampoo only, smallish towels, which we were prepared for, so wasn't an issue. Modern look, comfy beds. Linoleum floors, no carpeting.
2nd night on the lower floor, we had 2 dbl's, which wouldn't be an issue, but one bed was almost up against a wall, no room around the beds, and we had to climb on the one bed to adjust the temp! AND, those linloleum floors above us were noisier than carpeting! Sounded like someone was jumping off the bed, made noisier due to the floors!
Wi-fi was $3, worked poorly the first time, and not at all the 2nd time, so we didn't purchase.
I would definitely recommend this motel, great value for the area. But, I would suggest a 2nd floor room, it's worth the struggle with luggage, for a better night's sleep! And if you can get by with one bed, it is much roomier, as the rooms are the same size, one bed or two!

This is the nicest Motel 6 I've ever stayed in. However, it's still a Motel 6!

Shame on all of you Suburu driving, "I like to sleep on the ground and eat bugs" types that having given this place two or more stars!

When writing a review you should pretend you're traveling with a 75 year old person and rate the motel/hotel accordingly.

The room was nicely updated with that Mid-Century Modern Chic, and color.

The T.V. was a very large and nice Phillips flat-screen with plug-ins for video etc. if you have kids or want to review you days video shoot. Nice, small computer desk to use your laptop (WiFi INTERNET is $2.99 extra, no plug-in available)

Front desk staff was very courteous and informative. Both desk agents were from Romania, which seems to be a trend in Jackson.

Grounds were clean and well maintained.

Now the Negatives.

My dad and I were traveling together so we needed 2 beds. If you need 2 beds, don't plan on doing anything in the room except laying on the bed or sitting in the desk chair. The room was TOO SMALL for 2 DOUBLE beds. My bed was 4 inches from the heater/AC! The photos look geat, accept they deceive you by not showing what a shoe-box the room is.

The bathroom is huge and empty! They should have converted some of that space to more living space. The 2001 A Space Odyssey shower conversion is cool but didn't work as well for me as I'm 6'4" with broad shoulders so the shower curtain stuck to me constantly.

The laminate flooring is cool but was literally cold at night. The floor was dirty, with hair and dirt upon closer inspection. I had to carry my towel from the bathroom to wipe my bare feet before putting my socks on. Yumm!

The beds were hard as concrete and the bedding was low end and smelled. If you want a good nights sleep, either take an Ambien, get drunk and pass out, or drive 48 hours straight before arriving. Oh, and before you try to drift off to sleep/pass out be sure to take 4 Ibuprofen, because you may be sore tomorrow from the mattress.

At $88 a night, I don't think so. Spend another $50, hell spend another $100 and have a nice room and sleep well at 25 other places in town.

Ok, we paid $76 which is a very attractive price, but since the weather was bad we had little to do on the national park and had to spend some more time in the room. We spent 2 nights there.

There room is small, and you can't open the window, so it's stuffy. When we arrived, the room was smelly, I suspect a very strong cleaning material smell but it was hard to ignore it.
The room was clean, the bed was Ok. Internet was decent but it costs $3 (until the whole town got disconnected for a reason). The overall room layout was strange and the shower was ok.
The staff was very ice and eager to help.

Bottom line: If you are short on cash this is an acceptable choice, but since the room is absolutely not fun: 1 night is enough! Ask for a room with a view, since some of them actually watch the Tetons.
