The Angler's Inn is located a short walk from the Town Square and the shops, which is why we elected to stay here. It abuts the mountains, so the location is just right.

The hotel itself is very basic - nothing luxurious here. The bed was not terribly comfortable and the bathroom was very small. The decor was dated, but satisfactory. The TV was old. The room that we stayed in had a refrigerator, microwave and coffee pot. These came in handy. The staff is friendly. The hotel offers little in the way of ameinities - no pool, shuttle, etc..

All told, the Angler's Inn is a basic motel, good for a one or two night stay or as a jumping off point after flying into Jackson Hole on your way to Yellowstone or the Grand Tetons. It is resaonably priced for Jackson Hole, where the prices tend to be sky high. If your not looking for fluff and just want a basic place to sleep, the Angler's Inn will fit the bill. If you want for than that, stay elsewhere.

We wanted a place in Jackson Hole during Thanksgiving week that wouldn't break our budget, but yet was quiet and nice. We found the perfect spot with the Anglers Inn, $55/night winter rate, the room was very nice, clean and quiet. The manager, Deb, bent over backwards to make sure our stay was pleasant and we had a wonderful visit with her. Very accommodating, would definitely stay there again.

We stayed in Jackson for two nights at the end of October 2009 and opted for the Angler's Inn after reading about it in a fishing magazine. On seeing the motel-style layout we asked for an upper-floor room, but settled for room 234 on the ground-floor after being reassured that the "caretaker" occupied the room immediately above. The caretaker certainly didn't. He came back at 12.30, ran a bath (it sounded as if we were under a waterfall), then he and his female companion(s?) proceeded to indulge is some kind of game that involved banging about and speaking in loud voices. I drifted in and out of sleep until 4.30 when another bath or shower was taken, then another, followed by blissful silence until the bed started creaking! This went on for impressively (but depressingly) long and was followed by yet another shower/bath at 5.15, followed by talking and then silence at 6.30, by which time we were thoroughly awake. We left the place shortly afterwards, vowing never to return. It was rather a shame because the room, although small, was clean and tastefully appointed with a fun fishing theme; the central location was convenient albeit set on a noisy side-road; the man at reception had been friendly and helpful; and the price ($59) was very reasonable. But what's the point if you can't sleep!?! It was the worse night we've ever spent in a hotel. So, stay away from room 234 at the Angler's Inn. We most certainly shall!

My room at the Anglers Inn was perfect! The decor was a lovely western style which made me feel exactly like I was in Wyoming! The bed was quite comfortable and the bathroom had nice, new fixtures. Everything was clean and I enjoyed that fact that there was free high-speed internet.

The location was also excellent. It is just about a block and a half from the main streets in Jackson and you can walk everywhere within 5 minutes or so.

The manager of the hotel was extremely helpful when I inquired about restaurants for dining and he went out of his way to give me directions and help me find a specific type of restaurant I was looking for.

Being on a budget, I initially felt the cost of the room was a little high, however, after researching the other hotels in the area and what you got for your buck, I realized that the Anglers Inn was actually a really good deal. I highly recommend it!!

We stayed here as I couldn't get a room in advance on the dates we needed anywhere else in Jackson Hole. I was a little anxious about staying here having read some negative reviews but needn't have worried. The manager was friendly and accomodating and the check in was quick and easy. The room itself was extremely basic but spotlessly clean; the air conditioner had one of those dryer softener towels attached to a vent which made the room a bit powerfully scented and I presume it was to cover up some smell (smoke?) but it soon smelt normal enough. We had a comfortable enough night despite a very springy thin mattress.

It's an easy stroll into town and we enjoyed the selection of stores and restaurants but overall Jackson Hole in general and this motel in particular felt overpriced - we had a lovely comfortable suite in Missoula a few days later for the same price! Perhaps Expedia ripped usoff but I'd probably advise you to look elsewhere for your $s.

PS Due to a really "senior moment" (and I'm only just 40!) we left the car windows down and didn't lock the doors with the sat nav unit and my ipod on the front seat at 6.30pm. At 8.30am they were still there - has to be a recommedation of sorts!

This was a good value for a place to stay in Jackson. The room was clean and the motel (it is not really an inn) is convienient to the town square. Our room was at the back of the motel so truck noise was not an issue. Fine for a place to sleep in and walk to shopping and restaurants in the downtown area.
