We did the overnight combo (scenic float to campsite, steak dinner, overnight and white water rafting) and it was unbelievable. Our guide Luke was fantastic--extremely knowledgable about the snake river, the greater jackson area and the wildlife, charismatic, witty and amazing with the kids. He willingly took a group of us fishing when we got to camp (over and beyond his job description), set up an additional bed in a tent when all of our kids wanted to sleep together and was like part of the family (in fact when we had other experiences during the trip after the combo we started joking "if Luke was here this wouldn't have happened"). The scenic float was fun and we enjoyed seeing eagles, osprey, a fisher and some other wildlife. The overnight was memorable for us non campers--we felt safe in the tents (and greatly appreciated the beds in there) and really liked the food. We had fun playing games and telling stories in an electronics free zone for the kids. Some of us still felt we were roughing it since the bathrooms and running water were minimalist but it didnt matter since it was only one night and everytging else was top nptch. After a great breakfast in the morning (Cody cooked up amazing wild rice pancakes) we went white water rafting which was unbelievable. Luke took the time to really teach us what to do and go through a number of safety precautions. It's not that our job was difficult but we fully appreciated that he wanted us to be comfortable and took the extra care to erase all of our nerves. For every last one of us the white water rafting was our top experience of the trip--it was 90 minutes of pure fun...we would recommend this trip without hesitation (and should add that every last person on the BE staff (front desk, bus driver etc) was extremely friendly and helpful)---we really can't rave enough about the trip!!
