“So glad we stayed here!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 14, 2012

We stayed 2 nights at this hotel, and we were very happy. Room was large, clean, comfortable and quiet. Bathroom was awesome. They even have a free washer and dryer on 2nd floor, where we did some much needed clothes washing (they even provided the detergent). There was a terrific whole foods store in the next parking lot (walking distance). The staff was knowledgeable about local details and they were very attentive to service. Highly recommended.
THere was also a new and well equipped gym.

“Nice, clean. comfortable hotel room - not recommended for kids.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 14, 2012

Normally I rent a condo in Jackson but this was a short three day weekend and I wanted to stay near to town. Overall a nice, comfortable hotel but with limited extras.Off peak I paid $109 with taxes and fees and felt it was a good deal at that price, If the price was over $200 I would wonder why I didn't get a condo.

From the outside:
A well landscaped lot with a U shaped free parking lot and attractive lobby entrance sandwiched between a car dealer and a strip mall. Some industrial type businesses in the back, my room looked out, through some aspens, to an auto detail shop.

Entrance:
Nice lobby with real wood fire, leather couches and vaulted ceiling. Attractive uniformed staff, professional greeting. Modified "restaurant" from previous self serve breakfast area currently only serving breakfast (off season) $6-18 dollars with a limited menu.

Rooms:
Standard size (Hampton or Holiday Inn express size) with wood bed frames and euro style furnishings. Second sink outside shower area, small tube tv in a dresser cabinet (1990's style) Nice pillow top mattress but not overstuffed or marsh-mellow soft like a B&B. Thick sheets (smell of Clorox), wool blanket and very heavy comforter on top. (most my group found it hard not to get too hot but some liked it. I used the sheet only, some the comforter only.) Overall comfortable, clean with a moose/bear motif, clean with a large shower, no bath in standard rooms. No adjoining rooms. I understand the TV's may be changed out soon.

Amenities:
Nice gym with aerobic and weight machines, available computer and printer on second floor, free laundry available. Coffee maker in room. Shuttle to downtown and airport. That is about it.

Walking Distance:
Well, for anyone from Europe or use to hiking, walking downtown to the Square isn't a big problem but it is about a mile one way, additionally bad weather and Jackson's aversion to street lights, plus crazy traffic make the walk somewhat adventuresome. Thankfully there are several eateries and pubs close by, a Whole Foods grocery right next door with a bakery, sandwiches and coffee/juice bar next door, also short walk to Albertson's (chain grocery) MCDonalds, Pizza hut.

Review:
Its a very nice room and if the price was right I would stay again however that is all you get. It's not a Hampton/Holiday Inn so no pool, sauna, fridge in room, microwave, video games entertainment from a small tv with basic cable only. Also no included breakfast, which is why I can't recommend it for kids, who need late snacks, lunches packed for a day out and activity areas to get their wiggles out.
It's also not a resort or high end hotel, there is no valet, bell man, golf, ski area, fire pit, bar, room service news paper, or even on site dining.really The "restaurant" does not even advertise outside the hotel. I did try the breakfast, the quality and service were good, portion size was ok but not large, priced a bit high as you can get the same thing at Bubbas for half price. If you are only looking for a nice room and are happy with the price, book it.

“Flatters to deceive”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed October 14, 2012

From the outside and from its website, you're driven to expect more than the Wyoming delivers. The portico and lobby are impressive, but the rooms are about the standard of a decent Best Western or Comfort Inn. We stayed in the Best Western round the corner for one night and our room was clearly better. The restaurant was strange- a very restricted menu for both dinner and breakfast- not particularly good value and not very full either. But I really couldn't get past the fact that the cheapest bottle of red wine on the list was $45. We normally have wine with dinner, but not the night we ate there. After the first night we ate out for breakfast and dinner.

Equally strange was the fact that we couldn't make our phone cards work on their system. The first time it was just one that wouldn't work. When we returned a few days later they'd fixed that- neither would work. Both these cards worked perfectly before and after the Wyoming. The staff seemed puzzled but it seems that somehow there is a glitch in their system (by accident or design) that prevents the use of at least some cards to make cheap calls from the rooms.

I do endorse the positive comments about the "healthy" supermarket around the corner. Great sandwiches made to order.

I guess I'd be looking for something a little better should we stay in Jackson again, and if not well i'm pretty confident I could get the same for less along the same strip. The Wyoming has no bar and is about a mile from the centre of town along the strip. If we did go again we'd make firm plans to eat elsewhere.

“Jackson's best”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 12, 2012

Although my wife and I stayed only 3 days at this hotel. The property was clean, the bedding was comfortable, and the staff was very pleasant and helpful. It makes it a plus that they have a shuttle to and from the airport, if you ask for it. WI made our stay very easy for a snowmobile trip into Yellowstone, being right across the street from our outfiter. The Inn was nice, warm and welcoming at the end of the tiring trip. The breakfast area is good for a quick meal before hitting the town. We took advantage of the free city shuttle, which stops behind the hotel. It makes it nice to get to all the places to eat and shop. If you want fun walk to the square near one of the stops and visit the Million Dollar Cowboy Bar. If your looking into where the locals hang out go to the upstairs at Rancher. Both places can't be beat. Wyoming Inn is the only place to stay While in Jackson.

“Amazing Property - Best Accomodations in Jackson Hole!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 11, 2012

The Wyoming Inn is everything it appears on it's website and so much more. Clean rooms, excellent service and a perfect location. The whole grocer is within walking distance for great juice in the morning and amazing organic market. We had a minor problem at the hotel and I received a handwritten letter from the manager that evening with an explanation, the issue fixed and his/her promise to insure the rest of our stay was outstanding. And it was just that! I met others who have stayed and they feel the same way. I'd stay there again with our family of 4 and recommend to anyone in the area. Best accomodations in Jackson Hole!

Room Tip: Choose room toward back of property given property sits on main road of town
