“Very Nice”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 21, 2012 via mobile

We really enjoyed the place! Rooms are nice and clean. Bar had great service and food. Walking distance to downtown, and close to the National Parks. We really enjoyed being here and will come back in the summer to see more.

“Fantastic Place - LOVED IT”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 21, 2012

Spent three wonderful nights at the Rustic Inn. We reserved a King Cabin and was upgraded to a Deluxe King Creekside and given a 20% discount...so things started out right! Drew was an excellent check in person who helped us with our many bags. The cabin was incredible - luxurious but homey. We loved the bed and shower. The porch with a view of the creek and mountain was wonderful. We enjoyed the gym equipment and especially the hot tub and sauna! What a great time we had! And we will be coming back soon. The included breakfast was the best we have had at a hotel - the breads, omelets - WOW!

Room Tip: Creekside cabins have a great view

“Once was enough”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed November 9, 2012

My husband and I had planned to stay at the Rustic Inn November 1-4. When we arrived we were greeted to Christmas ornaments that we had to walk over. As we were checking in we were reminded numerous times that it was the off season so everything was closed such as pool, hot tub restaurant etc. We were told there were only twenty guests so they were renovating rooms etc. What a welcome! We went to our assigned cabin and walked into a 54 degree room! It took 3 hours to warm up to 68 degrees. They did have floor heating under the tiles in the bathroom which only heated 3 tiles. There were cob webs hanging in the corners. We killed 2 spiders on the wall and the straw that broke the camels back was when we were watching a movie and a spider dropped from the light above the bed right on to the bed. Immediatley checked out as the clerks were just smiling. I would never recommend this place to anyone.

Room Tip: We ended up at the the Best Western Lodge! Excellent rooms with fireplaces

Upon returning from my vacation, I was very sorry to hear about your extremely atypical visit to the Rustic Inn. It is true that early November is a rather quiet time in Jackson Hole. The upside to that is that visitors can enjoy some peace & quiet while taking advantage of attractive room rates & discounted dining and spa opportunities around town. Your review is a bit misguiding as our heated pool, hot tub, sauna and spa are open 365 days per year. To conserve energy, we do cover our pool at times once the weather starts cooling down, but our 24 hour front desk staff is always available to open it up upon request. The Rustic Bar is open for cocktails Wednesday – Sunday during November and while the kitchen does take a break for the month, the Rustic courtesy car is on call to run guests to restaurants in town or even to pick up to go orders for room service! I do apologize that your cabin was chilly upon check in. You had booked a property view King cabin with a special request for the best view possible. Upon arrival, an upgrade to a Creekside King cabin was available, so the agent that checked you in made a last minute change to your cabin assignment, placing you in a cabin with a direct view of Flat Creek – ah, no good deed goes unpunished. Our cabins are directly exposed to nature and even though we have a rigorous program for pest control, every once in a while a spider or fly finds its way inside a cabin. Luckily, this situation rarely comes up – had we had the chance to make it up to you, we certainly would have. As for renovations, it is impossible to have an impeccably maintained resort like the Rustic Inn without them. Our commitment to keeping our resort in tip top shape does require on-going projects which are carefully planned as to not impact current guests. All Fall 2012 projects are interior/design upgrades which are quietly being conducted behind closed doors. No common areas are affected. You did witness the beginning stages of Holiday decorating – there is nowhere more festive than the Rustic Inn in December!! – I am sorry (for you) that you found the observance of such a joyous task annoying. In an attempt to make you happy in the only way it seemed possible, we did credit you a full refund for your reservation so that you could relocate to a property that suited you better. We are so pleased that you found our sister property, The Best Western Lodge more to your liking.

“Great place to stay!!!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 8, 2012

The Rustic Inn was recommended to us from our son. I have to say I was very pleased with the location, (edge of town near Grand Teton National Park). Staff is very helpful and welcoming when you arrive and throught out your stay.

The Cabin we stayed in was a King Creek cabin which was very nice, spacious, with the feel of luxury! It was great to sit on the porch of the cabin and view the stream going by. Across the way from our cabin is a fake moose on the other side of the stream. We took a photo of the moose and sent to our grandchildren as a joke.!! They were so excited they called us!!

The bar has a very warm welcoming feel to it. Nice selection of liquors and wines to drink. A great place to meet friends prior to dinner. One bonus is the hotel does have a car service to drop you off downtown and pick you up prior to 10:45pm. It was a great service to be able to take advantage of for the evening.

Breakfast is included. The morning of our breakfast the power went out so it was not the best breakfast. I will probaby stay here again.

Room Tip: Cabins on the stream are great, more costly but the view and open space is great.

“Good hotel but be ware”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed November 3, 2012 via mobile

My husband and I stayed at the Rustic Inn in August. We could not book the king creek side for the first night so we stayed at a regular room for the first night and then planned to move. The second day the reception arranged our move and when we returned in the afternoon there was a panic! The manager told us that our room was "out of service" and we had to stay to a queen creek side. She gave us a discount but now we had noisy neighbors on the second floor! My husband believes that our room was sold to another guest due to the manager's incompetence. The queen creek side is not worth the price. There is no natural light unless you want anyone walking by to be able to see you! Also if your neighbors walk heavy all night and argue, sleep is tough.
The breakfast is very good and the grounds are kept very well. Our experience would have been more pleasant if we were able to get the room we booked.

I am the incompetent manager that personally apologizes once again, as I also did in August, for the inconvenience of changing your room type. During the busy summer months we are sold out of Superior Creekside King Cabins being that they are our most popular room option. As I explained to you and your husband back in August, the room we were holding for you had a maintenance issue that we were unable to resolve the day of your move (a VERY rare occurrence) and completely out of anyone’s control. Therefore, I offered to move you to a Superior Creekside Double Queen Guestroom at a discounted rate. I am happy to hear that you enjoyed breakfast and the rest of the grounds; however, I wish you had notified me or anyone at the front desk that you were unhappy so we could discuss further options to better accommodate you for the remainder of your stay. The number one goal of the Rustic Inn is to satisfy every guest to the best of our ability, we are very sorry that your stay was not perfect.
