“For anybody who loves nature”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 8, 2013

I went there with my teenage kids, and they loved it. For a reason, they were compelled to leave their Ipods for the magnificent views of nature and these beautiful animals

“Great to drive through!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 8, 2013

I saw two Antelope on the side of the road during June. If you go in winter you can see herd of Elk roaming in the pastures. Absolutely beautiful.

“Beautiful information center.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 5, 2013

Located right on the edge of the Elk Reserve, this is as much a museum as it is a welcome center. Every year, some 7,000 elk come down from the high mountains to winter in Jackson Hole. There are sleigh rides in the winter that take you right in to the herds.

“Love this area.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 4, 2013

Saw elk, buffalo, antelope and a lone wolf. Enjoyed the visitor center and its displays. My little girl loved the stuffed elk, being able to touch things, look at the animals.

“Want to see coyotes?”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 4, 2013

We saw a little ad for the Miller House on the National Elk Refuge, and found it to be a great spot. The house is interesting -- just re-done a few years ago, and the guides will tell you all about the history of the refuge and the couple who were prominent Jackson Hole citizens, including the first female mayor in the country! As an added bonus, there are coyotes out hunting ground squirrels, which makes for an interesting wildlife experience. Well worth the visit!
