“Fabulous bronze animal sculptures”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 25, 2014

Drove past this and were so impressed with external pieces and the building that we turned around to visit. The architect deserves a prize. This is a truly outstanding building which blends into the scenery. Inside is equally amazing with superb sculptures of puma, moose and other critters. Very nice gift shop. Cafe looked nice but did not visit

“Absolute gem”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 25, 2014

In the middle of no where is this great art gallery dedicated to wildlife are. All the major painters are represented and the works of art are skillfully displayed. Plan on spending a couple of hours to tour the entire facility.

“Wonderful Wildlife Museum”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 22, 2014

This museum is a must-see for visitors to Jackson. Perched high up on a hill, the museum architecture is built of stone and is perfect for the location. Wildlife sculpture outside is notable and adds to the landscape of the Wyoming plains down below. We took an afternoon and viewed all of it. We were impressed at the quality of the museum and the artists' works shown there. My favorite is the painting of 3 bison looking right at you: bull, cow, and baby. Wish it was in my living room! Some of the sculpture was very realistic: carnivorous animals attacking their prey. Very modern and well-presented.

“Fee $10, interesting building on a hill.”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed June 21, 2014

National museums in Washington DC are free but this one charges $10 entry fee. Interesting rock building on a hill with many bronze statues. If you like wild animal art you will enjoy this - for me, not so much.

Thank you for submitting a review of the National Museum of Wildlife Art. We're sorry to hear you did not fully enjoy your visit.

To clarify, the Museum has an admissions fee because we are a not-for-profit institution. In 2008 the Museum received designation as the “National Museum of Wildlife Art of the United States” by order of Congress, however, we receive no federal funding. We rely on admissions and private donations to offer our world-class collection of wildlife art to the public.

“Poor value”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed June 21, 2014

Best art work was on the grounds, e.g. western animal statuary

Inside the gallery the best work on display was a photograph gallery of black and white African game animals

Cost was high $12 per person
