Had the pleasure to fish my guide Dave Jacquith for another one of my dream trips flyfishing. To say the least the beauty of this place is spectacular, and to catch fish is icing on the cake. And oh yeh, we caught fish. I did not expect to catch fish over 20" especially cutthroat and rainbows and we did just that. (see pics)! The variety of wading and floating kept things very interesting and Dave pushed me to my physical limits which was another one of my goals while I was here. I was able to learn a lot from him in regards to streamer fishing, and multiple types of setups for different types of streams and circumstances. It was really nice to not have to tie a fly or flies, take out wind knots, or even think about doing anything but picking up the fly rod and casting, casting, and more casting. He actually had to supply me with some band aids to cover up the blisters, which didn't slow me down a bit! Dave worked hard er than any guide I have fished with as he was always on the move to make the best of our day, always got me set up in the right positions while on the boat to try and get that perfect cast a few inches next to the banks, and while wading and walking to the honey holes I could tell he always had my best interest in mind to set me up with that perfect fly, strategizing my every move before I was able to set the hook on that 22" cutty slurping down flies on the bank of fish creek, changing flies whenever he felt it was needed, rowing the drift boat for 3-4 miles while trying to get that beautiful rainbow up and netted for another awesome picture, and oh, the cooking on the grill during lunch streamside with Bison burgers and Elk burgers were the best, amongst the other deli foods that we ate. Just a few of the advantages to having a great guide and outfitter to make dreams come true, and it did for me!
