The Wort Hotel has a great location, right in downtown JH, the staff is attentive, and the rooms and public areas well-appointed. Jackson Hole is an expensive place, and I found the value at the Wort commensurate with other hotels in the area. I recommend this hotel. My only concern was that the room was hot (but I was so tired I didn't figure out how to adjust the thermostat so this is probably my fault) and the room had a small alley window that let in little light. They offer a great "upsell," adorable stuffed teddy bears in the rooms that are available for sale. Enjoy!

Very nice hotel beautifully decorated in a wild west theme complimented our stay in Jackson Hole nicely. During winter there is a fireplace in the common area where they serve you free cookies and hot tea. The rooms were beautifully appointed in their own rustic wild west style although the reverse cycle A/C in the room required a bit of getting used to during the cold winter but just about kept the room warm enough. The bed was very comfortable. Also on offer is a complete range of in-room amenities. The small number of staff on duty always made sure you were comfortable and taken good care of during your entire stay and happily greeted you whenever they could. The band playing in the bar at night may annoy some guests but we thought it added to the whole rowdy west feel of Jackson Hole. Food at the restaurant was very good and there are plenty of other restaurants in town to choose from. A 24 hour convenience store located in a gas station is just down the road from the hotel.

There is a small piste in town that is just a 10 min walk from the hotel but the main ski resort of Jackson Hole is at least a 20 minute bus ride away. However the bus stop to the Jackson Hole ski resort is only a 5 min walk from the hotel.

The Wort is a lovely, beautiful hotel especially at Christmas. The staff is very nice, the rooms very well appointed. I just cannot understand why they would ask guests to stay right next to the lobby. Our room was adjacent to the front door. All night long and early mornings we could hear others arriving and departing. For a special Christmas brunch in the lobby, the coat rack was placed in front of our door. For the rate that is charged for this room, i expect to have a better location. The manager office is across the hall. Why not switch? If you don't get stuck in room 116, it is a very pleasant stay.

Although it seemed like all places in JH were quite costly, this was by far the most expensive. It was certainly nice, comfortable, clean, etc. but our opinion is not worth the price we paid. Good location (although parking is down the strret a bit) room very well appointed, clean, comfortable, etc. Loved the Silver Dollar Bar, gift shop fabulous (although VERY expensive) but all in all, overpriced.
