This was one stop of several along a cross country trip. Even though this Super 8 was the least expensive place I could find in the area, it was the most expensive hotel along our route. It was also the shabbiest.
The staff was efficient and helpful when I asked for directions and a couple of small things. Check-in went fine. We got a queen bed with a microwave and fridge.
Because the hotel's set on a hillside, there weren't too many stairs to climb even though we had a 3rd floor room. The entrance and stairway doors were heavy and kind of hard to keep open, but some of the long term residents were very helpful as I was dragging my luggage through.
The room had a fantastic view of the bluff (it can be seen on the hotel website) Unfortunately, that was the best thing about it. Even though it was a non smoking room it was surrounded by three smoking rooms and smelled strongly of cigarettes. It was also very hot, even though it got down in the 30s outside that night. We had to have the window open or the fan on the whole time.
I don't expect a whole lot from a free breakfast, but this one was skimpier than most Super 8s. Basically it was a choice of white bread, bagels, toaster waffles or cheerios. There was no fruit. The bagels were ok.
Finally, I liked the location. It's easy to walk from the hotel to restaurants and parks in Green River, and easy to get on and off the highway. I'm hoping that the hotel can renovate soon: that will make it worth the price.
