We stayed here on our way home from Yellowstone. This is a rustic pine lodge run by a very nice and accommodating family. They have a great website - check it out!

If you want to sit outside of your own individual cabin and look at the stars and meet other travelers, this is the place for you! We stayed in the Spring Creek cabin. It was very, very clean and quaint. There is a desk and a TV. We didn't use it, but there was a kitchenette adjoining our cabin with the next cabin. You can deadbolt the door leading from your cabin to the kitchenette.

The continental breakfast was great - cereal, muffins, bread, gourmet coffee, orange juice. Mike, the owner, talked freely with the guests having breakfast in the lobby.

The entire town is within walking distance. We ate dinner at the Cowboy Cafe and it was fantastic! Dubois is a charming, small Wyoming western town.

We stayed here for 2 nights in early July. My husband and I were very dissappointed in the extreme amount of highway noise and screaming coming from the bar right next to the Twin Pines. The patrons of the bar played horse shoes well into the night. The Twin Pines is also located very close to the highway. Lots and lots of traffic noise cascade through the rooms. Parking is also very tight. When we go back to Dubois we will not be staying at the Twin Pines Lodge, as we have found another place to stay that has a much quieter location.

  • Liked — Loud travelers will love it
  • Disliked — The noise level is not acceptable

We were very impressed with the Twin PInes lodge. I expected it to be out of town, more like a lodge. But, being downtown allowed us to walk to all the shops. The cabin was super clean and neat. Lots of fun. Would stay again.

My husband and I decided to go to Wyoming for a couple of weeks and saw the reviews for Twin Pine and decided to take a chance. It was by far the best place to stay, the rooms were clean, the staff was very friendly and helpful. We decided to eat breakfast in the lodge in the morning, the wheat bread they serve is so delicious, the coffee is gourmet, they have muffins, yogart, cereal, hot chocolate, orange juice, there is also coffee in your cabin and a pot to heat the water. The cabins were very rustic feeling but modern updated fixtures. The town itself is so friendly everyone we met was always glad to help you. The eaterys were within walking distance, The Cowboy Cafe was good for breakfast, the sandwich shop a block east of the lodge has the best pizza I've ever eatten, there's a cafe that sits down an alley next to hardware store they have a great BBQ beef brisket sandwich. If your looking for night life your not going to find it here. There is a scenic lookout just west of town on the north side of the road, you can drive up the side of the hill and watch the sun go down or the weather come in, it looks over the whole town. Just a very beautiful town to visit with very friendly people. Can't wait to go back again I find myself missing it.

  • Liked — The rustic look with the modern fixtures very clean
  • Disliked — nothing

Another interesting place we have found, far from the common chain motel room.
We decided to try a privat owned property and not stay in a chain motel in the small town of Dubois which by the way is a nice western town with an old mine. The Lodge is situated in the main street, all made from wooden logs and offers variou cabins as well. We took a Lodge room, the room was upstairs and from the gallery you have a look down into the lobby. Very nicely decorated house. The room was spacious with 2 bed made of wooden logs and a small bathroom with toilet, a small sink and tub.
The room is a bit dark due to the darkblue carpet and wooden walls and ceiling. We had a nice airconditioning unit (a modern one) in it, and were able to open the windows (they have nets against flies on their windows which I think is very useful.) We got 2 chairs and a desk, TV with DVD and even a small fridge in the room. It was clean and smelled ok.
Our main problem started at night, when other guest in the lobby were having fun and singing, though it was past 10 p.m. We could hear every word through the walls and the roomdoor. We even heard every movement and word from the room next to ours.
Main Street is quiet at night, this would be no problem, noisy during day because of traffic directly passing by.
Except from the thin walls inside the house the place was a nice find and the rate was very good (have a look at their website).
If you want to spend a night in a nice, clean and special room that is not an usual chain-motel-room, come to this place and you certainly will like the rustic charm!
Continental breakfast was served in the lobby in the morning, some oatmeal, various toasts and muffins, coffee and tea. You have a watercooker in room as well.
If you prefer to stay in the cabins you won’t have problems with noise – some of the cabins are under renovation right now.
2 blocks from the lodge you will find a steakhouse and next to the lodge a saloon, opposite is a fuel station.

  • Liked — nice building, nice furniture
  • Disliked — thin walls, guests sitting in lobby till late - noisy
