“Great alternate place for Douglas”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 12, 2012

We have stayed at the Douglas KOA twice for softball tournaments. They have a nice outdoor pool, which was nice for relaxing between and after games. The employees are friendly and helpful. There is miniature golf available for an additional cost, which can get a little pricey with several children. The bathrooms and shower area is very clean and homey. There is a little shop in the office which sells souvenirs and basic food, and rents DVD's. The one thing that is funny to us living in Wyoming is that they close the pool if it looks like it's going to rain, which although it may look like rain, it vary rarely every does!! You can see a LOT of sky in Douglas, Wyoming, and those storms could be pretty far away! We will definitely stay here again.

We stayed here one night while taking a 13 day road trip. The staff was very friendly, and the bathrooms and property were incredibly clean! The only downside was the odd location. The property is surrounded on three sides by a trailer park, and it appeared that even the campground had some permanent residents. Everyone was friendly, and at no time did we feel threatened don't get me wrong there! The only thing that bothered me were some of the dogs at the surrounding trailer in the trailer park. We had our dog with us, and they were constantly barking at her and attempting to jump their cages. Aside from this, we had a lovely stay! Only wish the surrounding location was a bit better!

..stayed here on the way from So Dakota to Colorado for one night.. Could have been longer.

This KOA was absolutely fabulous! If you're familiar with the legend of the Jackaloupe, then this KOA will appeal to you.

There is plenty to do in Douglas for the tourist, and the staff will let you know what's good and what's not. They have 2 Kamping Kabins with TVs....!!! and that's a plus if you've been without for a week or two...

The playground is great for the kids - they really cater to the young ones. Games in which the staff hides rocks with paint on them for the kids to find. If they find one, the kids win a prize !!!! Keeps them real busy looking all over the campground for these lucky rocks...

The pool was great also. Staff was wonderful --- a real gem in the middle of the Wyoming!....
