“Had a great visit here!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 25, 2012

Pros: great location (short drive to the main drag, very close to the rodeo), very comfortable bed and clean room, super friendly & knowledgeable staff and great recommendations. The only con would be that the doors face the little pool, and, there is no walkway, so lots of people were walking on our little porch, and it was a bit noisy.

We would definitely stay here again.

Room Tip: Perhaps not near the pool.

This was a peaceful place. The rooms are very small and no bath tub. Do not take a room around the pool as it is very noisy. Also the gravel and porches are noisy. The breakfast is good. Very convenient to the highway towards Yellowstone.

This place is GREAT! We had to get out of Jackson, and called two days ahead to see if we could arrive one day earlier than we had booked. A pleasant person picked up the phone and said no problem! Yay! When we arrived, there was a sold out sign on the door, so grateful that we had a reservation, and sold out has to mean something about this place. Everyone is friendly and personable. The rooms are wonderful, they are log cabin/western style, vaulted ceiling, nice lamp lighting, a porch light, spacious room, great linens, great pillows and bed, the bathroom is nice and the front porch decks with tables and chairs are superb. You can sit out at night and meet the neighbors, have a beer, whatever, it's just so nice to be able to sit outside of your room and enjoy the surroundings. I doubt many places offer this in Cody. It's a huge plus. The breakfast is ample, the price is right, the parking is convenient, the rooms feel new, spotless, great guests too. We went into Yellowstone for two days and fished with North Fork Anglers for two days. This was the perfect location for everything. We'll be back next year!!!

Room Tip: Some rooms face the outdoor pool/hot tub, it can get noisy, but it's off around 9 or 10.

We stayed here in July 2012. Mom, dad, MIL, and two boys (7&12). We were lucky enough to get pretty good to great rooms for a lot of the nights of our two-week cross country road trip (some bad too), but this was in the top three.

The location was perfect for us. We only had one night in Cody on our way to Yellowstone and CCV was great for what we wanted to do while we were in town. We had thought about doing the cowboy dinner, but we did not make it into town in time to do this; however, that was right next door if you are able to do that. We were even a few minutes late for the rodeo, which was on our "must dos" with the boys. We wanted to be within walking distance, so that we could have a few beers and not have to worry about driving or getting a cab. It was literally minutes from CCV. BTW, the rodeo was great, and don't forget to stop at the Buffalo Bill Museum while in town too - plan to spend a while, though, because it is huge!!!

The lady at the desk was wonderful. She rushed us through the check-in process as she knew we were running late. She gave us quick walking directions to the rodeo; a map that she circled showing the best place to sit at the rodeo; info about our cabin, breakfast, and the pool-sized spa/hot tub; and our room keys.

Our cabin was in the far back and had a beautiful view of the mountains right behind us. There was a little porch with a couple of chairs where you could just sit, relax, and take in the view. The cabins were close to each other, but we never had a problem with this. The group right next to us was even out for a while chatting before bed, and we could not hear them from inside.

Everything inside the cabin was clean and decorated so nicely. It was done up in cowboy decor with cute little boot lamps and wallpaper. The two queen beds in the cabin were comfortable, according to the kiddos and MIL. There was a second small TV on the wall in the bedroom. We actually took the pull-out sofa in the living room, as we wanted a little room to spread out away from the rest of the group. We were not expecting much with this, as usually pull-out sofas are not too comfy; however, it was perfectly fine and we slept pretty well with no back issues in the morning. There were plenty of blankets and extra pillows for all five of us. The living room also had a small TV on the wall, an extra chair, a small table and chairs, microwave, and mini-fridge. The bathroom was small, but it was fine for the night. Also, there is a sink right outside the bathroom door, so someone could be using this while someone else was in the bathroom getting ready. The shower pressure was good.

The next morning went really smooth for us too. We got up and went to the included breakfast in the office/lobby, which was perfectly fine just for something to fill up on to start the day. It was your basic cereals, muffins, fruit, etc. There was nothing spectacular about the food, but it was not bad either. Honestly, it is pretty much all my kids usually eat for breakfast most days anyhow and it was included, so you can't really complain. The boys wanted to check out the hot tub/spa before leaving, so we let them take a dip in there before we checked out. They loved it, and it was a fun way for them to start their morning before another day of adventure and fun on vacation!

We would definitely recommend this place to friends and family, and we would stay again if in the area!!!

What a good surprise when we arrived at the Cody Cowboy Village with my friends in May 2012.
We were allocated a fully furnished and very comfy chalet; great!
As we felt so good in there, we just went out for dinner but then returned to enjoy the warmth of the chalet.
Not expensive at all for the offered quality.
The only downside we experienced was the rather small breakfast in the morning.
But the stay was definitely really nice!

We had a nice king bed cabin. It was clean and comfortable and had all the modern conveniences. The people were friendly and offered good advice on restaurants. The WiFi wouldn't work except in the office. Our cabin was near the front, so we got a lot of road noise.

Room Tip: Try to get a room towards the back away from the street.

Clean cabins, cute cowboy boots decor; shower very small (cruise ship size); breakfast adequate, make your own hot oatmeal, hard-boiled eggs. Oddities: absolutely no brochures, etc., left in room (had tons in the lobby though), not even a pad and pen; if you wanted a coffeemaker in your room, you had to request it from the front desk. Woman at the front desk gave us discount coupon for chuckwagon dinner/show and rodeo. Loved the chuckwagon dinner; show was excellent. Rodeo interesting to see. All within walking distance of the cabins. Good value for the price.
