“Disappointed”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed August 14, 2013

We wanted an authentic dining experience and although the location and decor was nice the food was disappointing. We had Bison burgers and they tasted bland---like they had been pressed and frozen. Our waitress was very nice but did not impress. We would not return there and don't recommend it.

“A wild west performance - get a seat away from noisy bar area.”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed August 10, 2013

Worth seeing wild west gun shoot-out but the noise from other guests from the bar meant we could not hear the dialogue despite the performers wearing microphones. Others were also turning round and disturbed by noisy drinkers. Worth seeing but get a front row seat near the action.

“Buffalo burgers at The Irma”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 9, 2013 via mobile

Really neat atmosphere and beautiful bar. The buffalo burgers and the sweet potato fries were great. One person in our party had the buffet and really enjoyed it. The prices were about average for the area. Highly recommend it.

“Very Crowded and it wasn't because of the food.”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed August 8, 2013

Took my family of 10 to Irma Hotel for dinner during our vacation stay in Cody. It was exteremly crowded for supper so I was glad I had reservations for the 10 of us. They stuck us in the side room which was away from the buffet normally that would not have been such a problem at most locations but to get from that room to the other room where the buffett was stationed was somewhat difficult because they don't have much room in the walk way between the two rooms. I understand this is probably because it is a historical building but none the less it is what it is an inconvenience to those sitting in the separate room. The food was ok but the prime rib had no taste not sure what the deal was as my wife and I have eaten prime rib any many different places over the years but this really lacked much flavor, could have been just the night we went. Anyway the other items were fine, the salad bar was limited in choices and there really was no desert bar that we could find. The service was ok but not quick and we had to flag her down for refills and to get our check. Overall the price was a little high compared to the quality of food that is why I give it a poor rating. I think we surely could have found a better meal for the same price or the same meal for a better price else where.

The building itself was neat and I would diffently stop in at the bar for a drink just to take in the history.

“A Page From The Old West”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 5, 2013

We had dinner at The Irma on our recent visit to Cody. We were lured in because it was the most inviting place around. Although it was only 4:30PM, we had been traveling all day and were hungry. There were already a fair number of parties having dinner and folks were staking out their positions to watch the 6:00PM gunfight right out in front.

We partook of the prime rib buffet. It included a soup and salad bar at what we thought was a fair price. We received generous carvings of the prime rib. Being early, my wife was able to have an end cut, her favorite. I had a tranche of the lemon pepper cod that I thought was very good.

Table service was a bit relaxed, probably owing to the early hour, but it was still very friendly.

We were more than satisfied and glad we chose The Irma.
