“Absolutely fabulous!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 30, 2013

Beautiful exhibits, well laid out! I would not expect anything less from a museum that works with the Smithsonian. We spent two afternoons in the museum and enjoyed every minute. It was quite funny to find a Buffalo Bill poster in GERMAN!!! The firearms collection was downright scary for a person who doesn't believe in guns! Interesting though. I preferred the collection of paintings.

“going back in time”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 25, 2013

It takes 2 days to really enjoy and get all there is to offer at the museum. You see, it is really 5 museums in 1 under 1 roof. It is a great experience & will be remembered. It is part of the Smithsonian in DC

Wow, what a place! Great collection of firearms and Buffalo Bill materials. Fantastic native American displays and artifacts. Really gives you a sense of what it was like in his time.

“Not enough time to do this exhibit justice”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 20, 2013

This was a memorable visit to this outstanding exhibit which is filled with countless memorabilia relating to the years covering the life of William Cody and his family. The center displays artefacts from his earlier years as a successful US Army scout, buffalo hunter and in later years, as a showman and businessman. The exhibits also include audio visual sequences which provide more detailed historical facts, and to appreciate the full extent of this wonderful record of William Cody’s life would require more time than we were able to spend on this visit. Don’t miss the wonderful bronze statue of Buffalo Bill on horseback overlooking the plains outside of the museum.

“Educational at the very least”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 19, 2013

Conveniently visited during a very bad thunderstorm so nice to get indoors. Really surprised at the excellent way the whole of the centre was laid out with sections dedicated to different aspects of Buffalo Bill's extraordinary and diverse life which spanned an era from the old west to traveling Europe with his wild west show. In addition to a fascinating insight into many aspects of the history of the west as America came of age. Would recommend a visit even on a sunny day
