“Clean,friendly personnel, beautifully decorated...”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 29, 2013

We stayed at The Cody in July (a beautiful time to enjoy the West!). Very much appreciated the stay here...felt it was a little overpriced though. But the friendly service, interesting décor, clean rooms, comfy beds, balcony, tasty breakfast (served on china!) made it all worth paying the price. The only thing we regret is that we arrived late and had to leave fairly early the next morning so we didn't get to take in the events in the area or enjoy the firepit or the neat lobby area. If you are allergic to pets as we are make sure you ask to have your room on the floors where no pets are allowed!

Thank you for your review! The china in the breakfast room is a definite guest favorite! Glad you enjoyed your stay with us, but, I am so sorry it was a short one.

We stayed at this hotel because it had great reviews and was pet friendly. Though they do allow pets there is a $250 charge if you leave your pet in the hotel room unattended. It would seem that my husband and I would be unable to enjoy the continental breakfast together as the pet is also not allowed in the dining area. In addition, we could not have dinner at a nearby restaurant without leaving our dog in the car. It seems that kenneled dogs or tired dogs (we hunted with our Short Hair) should be allowed to stay in the room alone. Other 'pet friendly' hotels do allow pets to stay in the room alone and either charge extra if they disturb other guests or take a deposit and charge if there is damage. Nowhere have we run into any number like $250. Stay here with a pet as long as you can take the pet everywhere you want to go and you don't want to enjoy any of the 'pet free' amenities of the hotel with everyone else in your party.

Located a bit out of town, almost opposite the old trail town and close to Wallmart, it had plenty of parking and an attractive feel. The foyer was large with comfy sofas, an open fire and tea and coffee available all the time. The room was nice and spacious. Cody itself is more of a western town than I had expected and much nicer than Deadwood. The hotel is not far from the excellent Buffalo Bill Historical Centre which is an interactive and interesting museum on the Wild West. I loved cooking our s'mores over the outdoor fire on return to the hotel at night (get your pack from Reception!). Friendly staff and a comfortable stay. What more could you want?!
We were heading for Yellowstone and decided to go via Chief Joseph Scenic Highway and part of Beartooth Highway. A lot further but wonderful drive.

Wow, what a nice surprise this hotel turned out to be. I usually try to book hotels where I can build up points (i.e., chain hotels), but this one was a shot in the dark after reading the reviews and hearing how nice it was. It did NOT disappoint; it's as nice as any hotel I've been in. I've never stayed at a Four Seasons or Ritz, etc., but this hotel was so nice and solid and quiet that I really have no interest in anything above this price range.

The room was so solid and quiet and quality oozed out of every square inch of this place. The furnishings were to die for. The balcony was great but it looked out on sort of a group of warehouses and it was below freezing so I didn't spend too much time out there anyway. The separate toilet and shower room were nice and all of the materials and high-end toiletries were as nice as I've had in a hotel.

The breakfast was good with an egg bake and sausages, a waffle maker, packets of oatmeal and yogurt, fruit, great coffee and a nice selection of tea and juices. I wish they would have had hard boiled eggs since I'm a little squeamish of any sort of "egg bake". I'm trying to stay away from partially-hydrogenated oils and I never know what's in those sorts of things, that's why I prefer plain ol' hard boiled eggs for morning protein.

I highly recommend this hotel.

What a great place to stay on Cody! the staff was professional, the room with the hot tub was GREAT after a chilly afternoon, and the breakfast was better than the usual fare. We were glad to find a place that let us bring our dogs.

Beautiful holiday. All rooms have lots of character. Staff all very helpful & friendly.
Not licensed & do not serve dinner but we were allowed to eat our own food & drink our own wine on the patio & in the lounge area. Manageress provided us with plates, glasses etc, couldn't have been more helpful.
A fabulous place, wish we could have stayed longer.

The four of us stayed at the Cody, Wy for the first time .
Based from the Tripadvsor reviews, I took the chance of booking it and we did not regret it at all.(through Expedia)
It has a nice curb appeal and it's very welcoming. (quite near the airport)
The receptionist is helpful and nice and gave us an early check in.
The lobby is tastefully done and spacious.
Our 3rd floor rooms are clean and has 2 queen comfy beds.
The continenental breakfast is sufficient and very reasonable
although the same food is being served everyday.
Parking is enough for everyone and we had an excellent WiFi at the hotel.

One thing that made us feel very welcome in the hotel is the employee from maintainance who took the time of bringing us downtown and recommended to us some tourist spots around Cody.

The hotel has bicycles for the guest to use and also
has a pool/ an exercise room too.

Really a great place to stay and is at least an hour to the east entrance
to Yellowstone.
