“Very cute! Unique and thoroughly enjoyable!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 5, 2012

These cabins were super cute, very clean and comfortable, really friendly and professional staff, so happy to help and always met you with a smile. We had no idea what to expect at this motel, but when we pulled up to our little log cabin, we were so pleased! We were on a sixteen night road trip around SD, WY and MT and just had one night in Cody before moving onto West Yellowstone and we could easily have stayed a couple of nights because the accommodation was so nice. The coordinating Rodeo and cowboy duvet covers, pillow cases and curtains were so sweet, the cabin was very clean. There was a strong smell of cleaning fluids as you entered the cabin initially, but this soon dissipated when the door was opened and we made ourselves at home, and frankly, I have no issue with smelling the cleanliness of a place!!!
Our kids are nine and eleven years old and the great bonus with these cabins was that the kids had their own, seperate room from us. As you enter the cabin, you step straight into the main double bedroom which my husband and I used. You had to walk through our room to access the bathroom. You then continued through the bathroom and into the kIds room at the rear of the canin. This had two double beds and a tv, and plenty of floor space. It was a really really pleasant change for them not to be sharing a double bed, and for us to have a totally separate room from them. We love our kids to bits, but sixteen nights on the road and being in each others pockets meant that all four of us having our own space was a refreshing change!
The staff couldn't help us enough and when they recomended the Rodeo to us, we jumped at their suggestion and had the most amazing evening there! We could buy our tickets at the hotel reception which meant we could just walk into the rodeo without having to queue to buy tickets. The reception was also a lovely shop that was open till eleven at night, very convenient.
The only issue was that our stay at Buffalo Bill was already prevpaid with breakfast included, but There was only one slight issue regarding our breakfast, we had per paid for breakfast to be included, but when we checked in, the gentleman told us that breakfast wasn't included. I was hesitant to challenge it, but with our childrens' tummies rumbling loudly that following morning, i decided to speak to the member of staff on duty & the lady could not have been more helpful, she was absolutely wonderful, apologetic and personally escorted us to the next door Holiday Inn where she instructed staff there that we were to have our breakfast and they would forward the bill to her office. Tip top service, couldn't fault it, a wonderful stay in Cody!! A great little town and a great place to stay. Would definitely return.

I would have to bet I stayed here in the 60s with my parents, a blast right out of the past, several (50?) stand alone little cabins, nothing fancy, but they were clean, cute, and nastalgic - but one night was enough. We moved up to the Chamberlin Inn after that.
Again - cool, but?

It sounds good - cabin village - but is basically rows of garden sheds set in what must have once been a concrete car park. We had a two bedroom cabin which at least gave us room to put our cases without falling over them. Tiny rooms, tiny windows, antique air conditioning and NO HOT WATER! To be fair the maintenance guys came very quickly but they only did the same thing as us - ran the taps for ten minutes -and then just said well there's only one boiler for ten cabins and you're at the end of the line - great! The beds were comfortable but its a long way from being a luxurious experience to say the least, never again.

We had a 2 double bed cabin, it looked refurbished, the beds were comfie, the carpet looked new and the bathroom was spotless.

It looks a bit like a garden shed from the outside but was a decent place to spend 2 nights.

It's old world, you check in at the store and fill out a registration card, the folks in there are really friendly and glad of your business.

You can walk to most restaurants from here and if you want a safety deposit box they are available in the Holiday Inn (across the car park).

Would recommend the chop and steak house for Buffalo steaks, not the cheapest but a great meal.

To stay here for 1 night was like to play cowboys or pioneers... a very funny experience! Reception area is inside the souvenir shop, where we bought 2 tickets for the night rodeo. Check in was professionally performed (without using a computer!) by an extremely kind and cheerful man who immediately made us feel at home. One can really feels he loves his job. Our cabin, although little, had everything we needed (a very comfortable large bed, clean bathroom, tea and coffee facilities, TV, a table and 2 chairs) and it was furnished in an "rodeo" style. The stuffed buffalo on the bed completed the old Far West atmosphere. A very pleasant place to stay, highly recommended.

I was not sure what to expect with this place. Checking in was most interesting. The Cabin Village is a double row of 'cabins' tucked away behind a Holiday Inn and a Comfort Inn. Very odd. At first glance, it looked like a prison row house.

Checking in was inside the gift shop. Very manual front desk. No automation. They still use the old 'On Change' cards. Loved it! The lovely lady that checked us in was SO friendly and helpful. She really REALLY loved her job. It was refreshing. Actually, every place we went in Cody was full of people like that.

The Cabin was small but perfect for us. Two double beds, notty pine walls, small bath, and a/c. This was probably the closest I've been to 'camping' in a while. The beds were dressed in little boys cowboy bedspreads. Very funny. With a stuffed Buffalo on the bed.

The place was deserted when we arrived. I wondered how since they were 'sold out.' Well, after dinner and drinks, bus tours arrived to fill all the other cabins. The next morning was nice that there were deer outside our cabin. Coffee with deer. How sweet.

The room was SMALL. Don't think I could spend more than one night there...or in Cody. But lovely just the same.

I was a bit apprehensive after reading some of the other reviews here, but there was no need. Our two room cabin was so cute! Yes, it wasn't very big, but it was clean, cosy, quiet and had cute cowboy furnishings. The location was fantastic, and we used the Holiday Inn pool. Would stay here again for sure!
