I have traveled world-wide with my wife and children (now grown). My wife, and two of our friends went there to celebrate my friend's and my birthdays. We went during the wine-pairing dinner. What wonderful food, wine, service and ambience. The staff was wonderful. Jim knows lots of stories. The chef and the food she prepared was superb. The rooms are spacious and elegant. Just an incredible place to stay and enjoy. Even the other guests at the dinner were wonderful. Everyone should take the opportunity to stay here. It is a great experience.

We stayed one night in Cheyenne and decided to stay at the Nagle Warren Mansion because of its historic value to the city and the reviews were positive.

The mansion has been perfectly restored to its original grandeur and is visually beautiful. It's location is right downtown allowing visitors to easily walk to restaurants and other downtown activities.

What is most unfortunate is that the owner has turned it into a business versus a B&B. He has a fairly large staff that handles all activities unlike traditional B&Bs where the owner/host provides personal service to his/her guests. That is definitely not the case at Nagle Warren. The atmosphere is one of a hotel where the owner/manager is removed from the day-to-day events. The only time he engaged with guests was pouring coffee during breakfast. We attempted to ask him a question about checking out and his response was to ask his staff since was about to attend a meeting.

Bottom line is it's a nice place, pricey for Cheyenne, but lacks hospitality and warmth. So, if you're looking for some of the most attractive benefits of staying at a B&B, select another one where you'll receive the treatment you expect.

We just returned from a night at the Nagle Warren Mansion in Cheyenne - cannot say enough good things about it. The property has been lovingly restored, with details like original fixtures, ornate woodwork, and an embossed leather ceiling in the entryway. Our room was very nice too, with a fireplace, clawfoot tub and dormer window looking out over the garden. (The cowgirl rubber duckie with their logo was icing on the cake.) :)

The hot tub in the two-story cedar atrium in the garden was awesome. Also included were drinks, homemade cookies, and a good breakfast in the morning. The owner, Jim Osterfoss, his wife, and their two cats seemed very friendly.

The only possibly negative was that Orbitz other travel websites list their corporate rate of $99, and they won't honor that unless you're a regular business traveler. But the rate of $149 was well worth the money.

Our travel agent booked us here as part of a tour of Wyoming from the UK.
It's a charming and comfortable house in the centre of Cheyenne.
We had a large room with charming furniture, comfortable bed and a semi-circular turret in the corner - with stained glass in the window.
To someone from the UK, such a buildin does not seem old, but it's pleasant to stay someone other than a runof the mill motel - especially where the place (and its furnishings) are well loved and look after.
The staff were warm and welcoming - gave us a tour when we arrived pointing out the architectural features as well as the complementary drinks and the cookie jar in the kitchen: a nice touch.
The breakfast was pleasant as all the guests sat round one table - and talked.
The breakfast food itself was a little pretentious - and portions could have been larger.
But a nice change from the ordinary.
