“Good Choice”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 19, 2010

Staff at check in was friendly & checked to see that my room was ok when I walked by later. The woman working the breakfast area was also friendly & attentive to the tables/food. The air conditioner was very loud, but canceled out the noise from the interstate well. Room was nice, but I prefer the sink area to be in the bathroom. Free breakfast was a little better than the usual at other places. Location seemed ok & was convenient to the interstate (thus the noise). It was a short drive to downtown where a found some restaurant options.

This was the noisiest room I've ever been in. Usually, that doesn't bother us at all, but
1) you are right next to the Interstate, and there is a lot of engine braking on that stretch (that's when semi trucks sound like they're roaring their engines) and
2) the AC sounds like a jet engine starting up. Each time it kicked on, there was a clank, then a jet starting right next to your bed.

I saw all the other reviews saying "noisy" and thought "How bad could it be?" It was bad. Definitely be sure to ask for a room away from the highway.

Breakfast was fine, bed was comfy. Room layout is nice, but calling it a suite is a bit of a stretch. Don't expect a separate bedroom.

There were no tubs - just a glass walled shower. Not a problem, but if you're not used to a glass door, just be aware that it's there.

Check-in clerk was friendly, but seemed surprised that we did not want the handicapped accessible room he gave us. He switched us, but was obviously surprised.

Overall: nice enough, but we would stay elsewhere because of the AC noise.

enjoyed my stay here but did have a room which seemed to be overtop the interstate. i choise to crank the ac which was loud but did drown out the traffic. breakfast typical with eggs, waffles, etc. saved $50 by staying in cheyenne instead of denver for the night...

We had a small family reunion at this location December 26-30. The rooms were very comfortable and the staff (except for one gal) was very personable and helpful. The pool was a little on the cool side, but just right after spending time in the hot tub! We rented ($125) the meeting room one day (9am-11pm) for games and Bingo, and it was very comfortable for our group of 14. On another evening, we played games in the breakfast area. The breakfasts were very good. The hotel is just off I-80, but not terribly close to other areas of interest - but then again, Cheyenne is not really THAT big. Be sure to try the Tortilla Factory (less than 1/2 mile south) if you elect to give this hotel a try.

This hotel is a wonderful choice! My wife and I were driving back to South Dakota from our honeymoon the the Tetons. The hotel staff was very pleasant and helpful. We enjoyed the location of the hotel being very close to the interstate so it was easy to find. When we first arrived at the hotel, we checked in and asked the receptionist at the front desk for a dinner recommendation. She not only gave us an amazing recommendation, she also gave us a printed out map with directions from the hotel. The room was amazing. It had a very comfortable bed, huge shower and a couch. We greatly enjoyed our stay and would gladly choose a Springhill Suites hotel again!

The suckers provided at the front desk are yummy. In addition this is a very nice hotel. I have stayed here many times for business trips. The rooms are large, comfortable, and clean. The staff is friendly and responsive to guest's needs. No complaints, exceptional hotel.

I chose this hotel because of the reviews but failed to ask for a room away from the road. We had to choose between noisy air conditioning and traffic noise.

The room was excellent - the very helpful lady on reception upgraded us to a larger room rather than try to fit a rollaway bed into the room we had booked. High quality TV, kitchen etc.. Fast Wi-fi. Breakfast was good.
