“brilliant for railroad buffs”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 28, 2013

an amazing museum for its size. Photo's of the past were great to see. the model railroad on the top floor is good and am sure will be finished soon. There was a short film to watch which was well worth it.

“Small but interesting stop”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed July 27, 2013

Be advised. W. 15th Street hasn't been a street in 30 years. Your GPS will never find that address. And Depot Square? It is a foot park, not a driving location, so, no, your GPS won't find that, either. Just look for it at the intersection of W. Lincolnway and S. Central.
The museum is interesting, but small. The model train on the second floor features many of the recognizable points of western railroads.

“If you've visited the railroads of Colorado you'll love the model R/R”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 26, 2013

As a train enthusiast I take every opportunity to visit Depot Museums and the museum is fairly typical of many others. Informative, with good information and displays. BUT go upstairs to see the Model Railroad, which, although not complete and fully operational was a delight as it depicted many areas of Colorado that I have visited, particularly the old depiction of Black Hawk (unrecognisable) and the Georgetown Loop which is a faithful reproduction of the real thing and brought back happy memories of my ride over the Loop. My one regret was not being able to visit the roundhouse, visible from the viewing gallery, but then you can't have everything.

“Great for Train Buffs”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 20, 2013

Nice train history and a nice gift shop. We enjoyed all the old photos as well as the model train exhibit on the second floor. They also have a nice viewing area so you can watch the happenings in the very large train yard.

“Great gift shop, that's about it.”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed July 13, 2013

Too expensive to even visit for the lack of things they have and the lack of excitement! The building itself, as an old train station, is beautiful. The gift shop is nice and the manager there has excellent customer service. We enjoyed conversing with her.
