“Not for large groups”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 3, 2012

Found the food to be above average, but was disappointed they cannot accomodate larger groups at a single table. 7 of us ate at a table for 6...it was either that or two different tables. Will go back, but off our list for "group" outings.

“Just What Cheyenne Needed!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 3, 2012

Went last night for the first time and had a ball. Awesome waiter, huge portions of home style food. I'm from Texas originally and my ribs and brisket as good as any I've had. A bit of a wait but it was Friday night so no surprise there. My wife and will go back, soon! So over the chain places here.

“Horrible staff”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed October 30, 2012

The food was not bad. I could have done without the 50 minute wait, also. Our waitress was horrible -I ordered a daquiri then sent it back (which they tried to correct 3 times and was always the same thing literally remade) she said " that looks watered down as [--]!" The next sentence out of her mouth, I kid you not, was "Sorry I am getting my [--] kicked." Just because we look young, doesn't mean you can speak to us like we're your friends. Then when the remade the 3rd time, the manager came out to bring it to me, who was not even polite! As if he was doing me a favor! Never, ever go here! They don't even have a place to call to do a survey! Hope someone from there reads this and does something about their wait staff.

“Typical steakhouse”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed October 28, 2012

We were very excited to try Steamboat's, since there's really nowhere to get a good steak in Cheyenne. We stopped by for lunch on a Sunday, and the place was packed. As others have mentioned, the cornbread muffins were very sweet and not your typical cornbread flavor or texture. I ordered the tenderloin, since there was no filet on the menu. They overcooked the steak, though it was still quite tender. Though it was bacon-wrapped, it had very little flavor, and the side of veggies were overly greasy. Others in our party ordered sandwiches - the pulled pork came without any sauce, and the fries tasted like those at any other restaurant. The rest of the menu was your typical steakhouse fare, though it seemed to have quite a bit of fried fare. They did have a large selection of beers on tap, and the decor was very interesting. Overall, though, the place was okay, but nothing special.

“Wait staff comments”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed October 23, 2012

Our party of four was dining at a square table (rather small like a card table). Our waiter came by with a dirty dish off another table and asked if we minded if he sat the dish at our table! (Mind you a table beside us was vacant!) He then turned to an adjacent table to take their order. As soon as he had their order he removed the dish from our table. He came a second time and placed a dirty glass from another table on our table when he presented our bill. We really were stunned as it was very inappropriate to do this--not once but twice. Please pass along to your wait staff they should not place dirty dishes from another diner's table on the table of current diners. Thank you.
