“Fried Food is Dead”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed May 19, 2012

I really dislike what the Trails Inn has come to. Crappy greasy and tired Food for our Service Personnel, what a shame.

“Old West meets Cold War”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 3, 2012

A former old west Army Calvary Fort, now a U.S. Air Force Missile Command base. The old barracks and housing has been maintained and in use for base offices. Officers Row takes you back to turn of Century Army Post living. The newer buildings have been made to blend in with the older ones. A nice museum of Old Army, Air Force and Cold War missiles.

“Go During Fort DA Russell Days”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 26, 2011

We toured the base during Fort DA Russell Days. They have a bus tour during the festival that lets you go down into a missile silo and tour many of the buildings on base. Since most of the time you would never be allowed to see the base in such detail, it was extremely interesting.

They also have great displays at the festival, with a civil war reenactment, a helicopter, and other military vehicles. The base itself is very pretty, with antelope roaming through the large field and beautiful historic buildings.

“Prettiest air force base!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 14, 2011 via mobile

I loved this place! Very interesting, and so pretty! They have an abundance of antelope, geese and other wildlife that are absolutely fearless of people, a blessing when you want to see them up close, but a bit difficult for getting around. But the place is beautiful and well kept! Definitely a place worth a visit!
