“Great stay!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 20, 2007

Despite the not so great location, right across from a Flying J with lots of big trucks, we were pleasantly surprised by how quiet and first rate this place was. Good service, clean rooms, comfortable beds, each room having its own DVD/VCR player, non-smoking as promised, and a great breakfast, with hot waffles (not the toaster kind). Highly recommended!

  • Liked — Quiet and comfort, great Internet access

I and some friends just stayed at this motel during the first weekend of Cheyenne Frontier Days and had a very positive experience. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The housekeepers have to be the nicest I've encountered in a motel and kept our rooms spotless. The complimentary breakfast was excellent and had enough choices to satisfy six very different tastes successfully. Free wireless internet is available in all rooms plus a desktop is available in the front lobby so that you can keep in touch with home or the office. The only downside is the traffic backing up at the adjacent Flying J and the pool is very small and not very inviting to use (lack of tables and umbrellas to beat 90+ degree heat).

I was pleasantly surprised by this hotel. We were looking for something to accommodate our family of 6, and this hotel was one of the few that could. It has one room with 2 queens and a pullout sofa, so we could all fit. They call it the "big room" and acted a little impressed when we checked in. That made us laugh, because it was a very ordinary room, but was apparently the largest in the hotel. There were interior corridors and a surprisingly large breakfast room. Breakfast was quite good, although the waffle iron was hard to use. The outside of the hotel doesn't look very promising, so I was happy to find a somewhat updated room with very comfortable beds.

The pool is outdoors, and there was a sign on it saying it was closed until further notice. I forgot to ask what was wrong with it, but we were there in June, so it shouldn't have been a seasonal closure. The hotel is quiet, even though it's next to a truck stop. The staff were friendly and the room was clean. It's a quiet, comfortable and convenient hotel if you're traveling along I-80 and need to stop for the night.

We were on our way for a two week vacation from California to Denver. One of our stops was in Cheyenne. I picked this place because the rooms were a good rate and they had connecting rooms and with a family of six it worked out nicely. We were on the bottom floor and we either had a very noisy family above us or this place doesn’t have very well built floor/ceilings. I thought they were going to end up falling through. This ended sometime around midnight. The pool is small and old; the hand bar to enter the pool was broken and fell off. The shower was OK, the beds were also OK, but the sofa sleeper was awful, very old and cheap, if a teenager or adult had to use that thing I’d feel sorry for them, the way it worked out our 3 year old slept on it and it was perfect for her. The breakfast was nice with plenty of places to sit. It wasn’t that bad of a place and for $60 a night it was a pretty good deal.

Traveling crosscountry. Arrived 12:30 am. Friendly & welcoming staff. Room easy to access from side doors. Pets welcome for $10 charge. Room very clean, beds great & minimal anticipated noise from other guests . Room was nonsmoking as reserved. Easy access off I-80 and all night station cross street for gas and essentials no longer allowed on airline carry ons. Breakfast had cereal, danish, make your own waffles, fruit, hardboiled eggs, juice, coffee & tea in large dining area with TV (not part of lobby)

  • Liked — No hassel checkin, easy access from Hwy and very clean! Heated pool

Pulling in, I was worried as there were many 18 wheelers backed up pulling into the truck stop/travel center next to the hotel. Great nights sleep. No noise. Clean. Pet friendly.
