“Better off at Motel 6”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed June 10, 2010

Would have been better off staying at Motel 6. It is a shame a business at specializes in providing accommodations for sleeping doesn't provided a bed fit for sleeping on .

The Parkway Plaza was the host hotel for a Memorial Day Weekend car show we attended. Check-in and out was quick--they were ready for us. There was also another large convention group staying at the same time--accommodations were plentiful for us all. The room was clean, a bit dated, but we were expecting that. Food in the Grille was tasty and the service was friendly. The bar was cozy with a nice band on Friday night. Sound systems and media screens for the sock hop and awards ceremonies were well-managed. The Monday group breakfast buffet was delicious--and plenty of it! Staff was more than helpful and friendly for any needs we might have had. We appreciated the daily free coupons for hotel services--nice touch! We didn't use the pool or the Business Center area but saw many who did. Don't know what the regular rates are, but the group rate we received was reasonable. We took advantage of the little mini-golf adjacent to the hotel, as well. The hotel is freeway-close and not far from downtown Casper. Plentiful parking--especially if you're hauling a trailer. Great fun on a great weekend. Just remember, it's an older hotel and not perfect.

My work stuck me at this dump. I tried to negotiate another place but I lost out as I was headed there with 5 other staff. Never again. The first room had lots of pubic hairs in the tub, they didn't even attempt to clean it. yuck! The rooms are old, outdated, and remind you of a b rate movie where the girl gets killed in the shower and you scream at the tv "why would anyone stay there?!! What were you thinking?!"

During our recent trip to Casper we were extremely disappointed in the Park Plaza. The room which was a no smoking room was filthy with cigarette burns in the carpet and blankets along with sheets that looked like they had not been changed in quite some time. Stains on the walls and a ventilation system that looked like it was growing something. In addition to the filth in the room, we also had to put up with the local drunks coming back to their rooms waking everyone up in their path except the front desk who seemed to be oblivious to it all. The best thing about our stay at the Park Plaza was that we were able to cut our stay short to just one day and move on to the Super 8 East for the remainder of our stay in Casper. One thing for certain, we will never be back to the Park Plaza ):

I am sitting in this hotel. It is filthy. Spatters on the bedstand. At least 8 feet of spider webs at the top of the room near the ceiling. Dreadful carpets. No room cleaning today. They just skipped my room. This after I went down to the front desk and made a specific inquiry and was assured they would do so. Room is poor...and dirty.
Pipes broke today. No flushing toilets in the conference area. Nice touch.
I travel a fair amount. I have never stayed in a worse or more disgusting hotel.

stay away from hot tub, keep your recipts, tell more than one person when you leave, or you'll be charged for time after you've gone. front desk help is a joke. except the germon lady. they're rude, and treat you as if they're doing you a favor. why tic uses this place i'll never know. go to the wagon wheel, its cheeper and every one treats you like they've known you for years.
