“Good Food. Large Portions. Great Service.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 1, 2013

Tonight was the second time my wife and I have gone to Sarento's. The quality was so surprisingly good last year, we had to go back this trip. I had the Penne Italiano (penne with Italian sausage, onions, peppers, and marinara sauce) which was excellent. The Italian sausage tastes like it is made fresh with delicious hints of fennel while the the peppers and onions add a bit of sweetness to the marinara. It is topped off with freshly shredded (not ground) parmesan cheese. My wife has the Chicken Marsala. The waitress informed her that the housemade Marsala sauce is made with sweet Marsala, so it is a sweet sauce. And, she was being entirely truthful. It was a sweet Marsala sauce, but still delicious. Our meals included salads and breadsticks. The vegetables in the house salads were crisp and fresh. The breadsticks were good, but they were, if anything could be called so, the only disappointment. They are soft and flavorful, but appear to be the kind of brown and serve breadsticks you can buy at your local supermarket and have flavor similar to Little Caesar's Crazy Bread. They weren't bad, but you can tell they aren't housemade and they are nothing to get excited about.

The waitstaff on both visits were so prompt and friendly that I was actually a little self-conscience. I thought, "why are we being treated like this? Are they truly this nice to their guests or are we being treated special for some reason." Since they have been that nice on both of our visits, I have to belief they truly are that nice to everyone all the time.

“Good food, atmosphere and service”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 31, 2013 via mobile

Nice big building with seating for couples or large party's, the decor is classy and waitstaff have a dress code.
Everyone in our group was satisfied with appetizers and salads. The main course was good as well and ranged from ravioli's to veal. Restaurant is pricey on some items, between the 10 of us and 1 kid ( eats free with dine in with adult entree) the average was 30.00 each and then this is one of those restaurants that automatic puts on 18% gratuity. If you ask if I would go back the answer is yes but probably not with a large group. I feel gratuity should reflect service not just the size of your party. Hope all enjoy

“Excellent food! Excellent service!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 30, 2013

This is an excellent place to eat! The service was outstanding!!! We just happened to go on "Magic Monday" and glad we did. Ryan the magician comes to each table with amazing magic tricks. It was awesome!!!! We are still trying to figure out how he did the card tricks. We stayed at the Wilderness and used the shuttle to the restaurant. This was very convenient.

“Disappointment”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed July 28, 2013 via mobile

our hotel recommended this place & even gave us coupons.....however, they would not honor our coupons. Pizza was cold, wrong dressing on my salad & service stunk! We shared this w/ the manager giving him an opportunity to make it right & he was rude! Major disappointment!

JoeSarento, General Manager at Sarento's Italian Restaurant, responded to this review, July 31, 2013
The Wilderness Resort recommends our restaurant to their guests because of the rave reviews they receive from their guests. They also hand out coupons on our behalf to offer something special to their guests. The coupon that you received is for one childrens entree free with each adult entree purchased. It's a very nice deal. We honor this coupon every time a guest brings it in and orders what the coupon very clearly states... an entree. The coupon was not honored in this case because the guest ordered a salad for dinner, not an entree. We certainly are not trying to mislead our guests, and appologize for any inconvenience. However, we will not honor coupons unless they are used appropriately.
