We stayed at the Lighthouse Cove on a suggestion from my sister. We were going for a weekend trip, and it would be my husband, my daughter, my sister, her husband and me. We were looking for someplace that would not be too costly but would still be nice. This completely fit the bill. Yes there are stairs, but anyone in relatively decent shape should be able to handle it. (there were condos available with "ground floor" access, to get to them you just cross the walkway from the parking lot.) We only had one flight down to get to our condo. From the first phone call, the staff was very pleasant, professional, and courteous. I had read the reviews, and asked a ton of questions since I have never rented a weekend condo before. When we checked in, we received a map of the property as well as what promotions were available. I really liked the condo, it was clean, nicely decorated, and comfortable. We ended up getting a 2 bdrm, 2 bath. It had a king in one room (with a seperate twin fold up bed stashed in the closet- perfect for my 6 yo) and a queen in the other. Tons of linens! There was even a futon in case we needed another sleeping space. Th view from the private balcony was fantastic and well worth the small amount extra, to sit and sip coffee in the morning, or a glass of wine at night. (there were only 2 chairs though) OK, reasons we rented the condo was so we could save money on rooms and get a lot for our money. We got to keep the entire family together comfortably in a spacious condo with seperate bathrooms so we weren't tripping over each other trying to get ready for the day. There was a full kitchen with Stove, fridge, micro, toaster, coffeemaker, blender, etc. Even a Washer and dryer- Great for drying out beach towels and bathing suits. We liked the full kitchen and that helped us save money bc we cooked there instead of eating out the whole time. They also have grills, but we didn't get to use them this time. Overall a very nice time. Now for the minor issues. (and these are very minor) I was happy that I asked about pots,pans and utensils ahead of time, bc I brought a couple of my own. They only have a couple of small pots and maybe 2 small pans. While I realize it is not everyones intention to cook in-house as opposed to eating out, it would have helped to have bigger cookware. At least big enough to fit food for 6 people. The only other thing was the beds. They were pretty hard. I did voice these issues to the front desk and he did take them seriously. I am not sure what will change in the next few weeks though. He let me know they were a new management company, and they would take my suggestions into consideration. Overall, I think the many pluses won out over the minor flaws. I would definitely stay here again and would reccommend it to anyone with a party of 4 or more going to the dells.

I just returned from a stay at the Lighthouse Cove Resort and can not wait to return. Not only did the condo have a jacuzzi, fireplace and a great view but the rate was amazing. They have an awesome 2 night special and I didn't even have to ask for it. Lighthouse Cove will definately be getting my business in the future.

Our stay at the Lighthouse Cove was OK. The condo was clean and tastefully decorated. It was a nice location. We wanted to be off of the beaten path of the Dells, so we chose to be on Lake Delton. At first I thought that this property was still too close to the strip, but as we visited the area attractions we were glad that it was close to the main strip, but still had a reprieve from the craziness of the Dells when we went back to the condo.

Even though the property was well maintained and the pools were very clean, I didn't like how the property was laid out. We did choose to have a "garden" view, but was disappointed when the view was a street and across the street was a dumpster! Half of the property is on the lake and the other half is across the street. The indoor/outdoor pools are also on different sides of the street.

I also have to agree with another reviewer who mentioned the amount of stairs at this property. I have bad knees and not only did we have to use stairs to get to the condo, but many stairs for both pools and many more for the lake. Would not stay at this property again for this reason alone.

Overall, was not completely disappointed in our stay, but mostly because we didn't spend much time at the condo. But if this had been a vacation where we wanted to enjoy the lake and a nice view, it would have been horrible. Unfortunately, we won't return to the Lighthouse Cove.

we went in feb of 2004- my boyfriend wanted to plan a special trip to propose marriage to me- he had a broken foot with a cast on his leg and told this to the girl when he made the reservation- she told him we would have a ground level condo with no stairs- when we arrived, we had to walk down four flights of stairs outside(no elevators or indoor staircases anywhere) that were covered in ice and snow with our luggage- the condo was the dirtiest place I have ever seen- I have rented many condos on vacations in Door County , in Florida, and in Las Vegas and this was the worst place I have been to. The carpet was extremely dirty, there was cheerios left all over the kitchen floor, and there was at least 1 inch of mold /mildew in the shower stall floor, the sheets were stained as well as the pillowcases. When I went to talk to the manager (back up the four flights of ice covered stairs), he was not at all interested in my complaints- when I explained to him how dirty the condo was and that my boyfriend had spoken to the reservation clerk about his cast and how this was supposed to be a ground floor condo with no stairs, he stated "it is a ground floor condo and we have nothing else available" and then he turned his back and walked away from me. We stayed one night (since it was late and we could find nothing else that night) and then checked into the Ho-Chunk for the remainder of the trip. When we checked out, I again requested a refund from the manager for the poor conditions and service but was told quite rudely that he would give no refund and that perhaps we should not have traveled with my boyfriend's foot in a cast. Unless you like staying in a dirty, disgusting place with very poor service, don't EVER stay here!!!
