Check in took 45 minutes! The air conditioning did not reach the bed in the loft. The mattress was DAMP! Postage stamp scratchy towels. Broken plastic chairs. They lied on the phone about there being a jacuzzi on the first floor. No service- we were told to come get towels for the people who did not get any- another 45 minute wait!

Room Tip: Don't stay here at all! Not worth the tickets for a lousy room at $210 a night.

Poor quality hotel, one of the worst I've stayed in. Rooms not well kept, looks junky and out of date. I questioned the cleanliness, I did not feel comfortable there. And had to pay for ice (it's vending machine style, bring quarters).

Very dank and dark with an unusal odor. It was one of the worst motel we have stayed in. Certainly would not recommend it.

I read the reviews, I was warned, but I thought I could hand it for a couple days considering the 2 Noah's Ark Waterpark passes included with our room.......I was wrong. It's just old and gross. It needs updating soooooo bad. The carpet was disgusting, the carpet and the bathroom floor were not clean, the sheets were stained. The tv got about 10 channels. Our room was too far away from the office to get wi-fi. We will never stay there again. We felt dirty just being in the room. There was a 2 night minimum or we would have left.

We have gone to the Mayflower every June for at least 10 years. This year was our last. It is under new ownership (an investment firm bought the Mayflower, Noahs Ark, and the Flamingo). There are SO many things that have gone downhill. Where to start...Yes, there are ducks and poop all over the pool area. There used to be two outdoor pools - but one was bulldozed. You can't go into a pool unless there is a lifeguard. Sounds OK right? Well, they get the guards from the overflow from Noahs ark. If they are short at the ark, pools are closed at the Mayflower. Oh, and they only have 7 chairs to use in the pool area. Really? Seven chairs?

One whole section (Mayflower 2) of the hotel is closed with blue tarps covering the roof. Another large section of the remaining part of the hotel is dedicated to dorm rooms for the foreign kids that they ship in to lifeguard at Noahs ark. We made it a multicultural experience and spoke to a bunch of the kids. They were all courteous.

So what was good about our trip? Really, nothing. It is a shame since it used to be our destination of choice. Please take my advice and don't both with the Mayflower. There are so many other nice properties in the Dells - don't waste your money.

Room Tip: There are no good rooms left at the Mayflower.

Horrible. The receptionist was very nice on the phone. She assured me we could come early and stay late to use the facilities. What she didn't tell me is that the outdoor pool would be occupied by the resident ducks, which no one seems to care about. My husband complained about the poop all over the bottom of the pool so a young man went out with a net and made a display of dipping it in the water. When we checked out the lifeguard was sitting in her chair just watching them swim!

The room is so old you still use a regular key with your room number on the plastic dangler thing.
The carpet was dirty and old, the desk was a piece of countertop screwed into the wall. Why bother?

The day we arrived the indoor pool was closed til 6pm. We had a 9 and 10 yr old with us. When my husband complained about no pools they told him to go next door to the Flamingo.

Pool towels are available.....for $5.00 each!!!

When my husband went downstairs to ask for some compensation for the disappointment, the manager threatened to call the police!

Yes, there are new owners, One of the employees told my husband that a company from California bought the motel as well as Noah's Ark, so good luck finding someone who cares on the premises.

Room Tip: Go somewhere else.
