“We had a great time and wanna come back...........”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 24, 2014

We had a great time. We have a small child and she loves the pools and the beach. It was great the just walk down stairs. I loved the saltwater pool. I wear contacts and I did not have any eye irritation in the pool. The neighborhood was great. I was able to walk all the way around Lake Delton because of the walking path.

Room Tip: This was a noisy hotel, because there were a lot of families and kids are noisy. The noise did not b...

We picked this property for the fact that they pet friendly. They are located directly on the lake and have 2 pools and a kiddie pool-play area.
We rented 3 rooms for 3 nights and the rooms are in need of some updating. It would make a HUGE difference just to get rid of the crusty old bed spreads they are still using. I was overwhelmed at the terrible smell in our kitchenette room. There was dog hair on a lot of surfaces and the towels became dirty when I used them to dry up water off the floor. Our other kitchenette room was much cleaner and didn't smell at all. We had to rent a separate room for someone in the group with allergies and asthma that couldn't handle the smell so that added on additional cost. Right away I went to the office and they were apologetic about it and had a group come re clean it. The lady I spoke with on the housekeeping team said "of course it smells, its a pet room" They did however clean it somewhat and use a machine that helped it to smell slightly better. I also was not crazy to see we were expected to wash our own dishes. How in the world does that work and how do you know the people before them washed them?? The note said they don't have time to wash all dishes!! I thought thats what housekeeping did when we are paying almost $300.00 a night. That was a turnoff to me.
Even with this as a downside I have to say the grounds are beautiful and well maintained. The flowers and landscaping are gorgeous. The pool areas were nice and clean. They had a fire pit area that was nice to sit by at night.
We also liked the many grilling areas and picnic tables. It helped with a group of ten people to save some money by grilling burgers once or twice. There were many families there doing the same thing and I liked the safe, family orientated feeling.
The outside pool was open 24 hours and that was a big plus with the teenagers. We never saw anyone unattended there and they also had security guards keeping an eye on everything.
The people in the office were very nice and friendly as were the housekeeping staff and other grounds staff. Its in a great location only a few miles away from all the action.
Almost forget, they let you use free kayaks and rowboats. another big hit with the teens.

We just recently stayed at Bakers Sunset Bay Resort and loved the experience. There are 3 pools for all ages, indoor, outdoor and kiddie. We used the kayak's that were available and enjoyed the snack shack for our late night ice cream cravings. The rooms were clean and our 10 year old daughter loved the facility. I would highly recommend this to anyone wanting a little bit of everything from their stay in Wisconsin

Room Tip: we had a room on the main level and loved it. Close to our car and pools.

My family stayed for 4 nights and we weren't ready to leave! We had our 17 and 19 year old sons and our 9 year old dog with us. The resort was very pet-friendly with plenty of locations to walk the our four-legged family member. It was extremely clean and well-managed. The staff was always out and about regularly picking up trash, cleaning the many charcoal grills, and making the beach area perfect. The location was right on Lake Delton and yet, far enough away from the craziness of the Dells. Driving 1 to 2 miles puts you right in the heart of it all, but you can come back to the resort for some quieter family time. We enjoyed the kayaks, ping pong, volleyball, pool, beach, board games outside, and grilling. We even got a slushy from the snack stand. We wish we would have found this place years ago!!! We will definitely be back:)

Room Tip: I don't think you could get a bad room...variety of types to fit your family's needs. Look...

Hotel claimed to have saline pools and spa which are chlorine free- yet the indoor pool area was so toxic smelling of chlorine it made your eyes burn even when not by the pool...plus the water was constantly cloudy and kids could not see diving toys...my kids eyes burned very much after swimming.

Our room was on second floor above a mechanical room?? Very loud humming that also vibrated the floor so sleeping was annoying....No help or follow up from front desk on this....

The pool, beach and common areas never seemed cleaned and reorganized from day to day...same trash in same areas for the 2 days we stayed

One of two tvs in the room did not work....

Several outdoor grills which could only be used by lower kitchen units because they had large groups staying....same groups dominated the beach with a baseball game...

Barking dogs left unattended in rooms...

Overall all all these things probably would not matter if the room rates weren't so high. I felt it was an expensive stay for all the little details being over looked!!

Worse experience ever- staying with the baseball team or we would never had checked in. Hair in our bed & all over shower & bathroom floor when we checked in. Moved us to another room but didn't have further availability in that room so while we were 45 min away playing baseball they packed up our room & had it sitting in the lobby.....wouldn't let us check the room to be sure they had everything & I couldn't find any of our stuff - worse customer service ever. Go some place else!!!

This is a wonderful family gem of a resort...beautiful views, tucked in the woods, very clean and spectacular customer service! Close to Spa, restaurants, shopping ; but you will want to stay put! Quiet, but family friendly, we will return!

Room Tip: Not brand new, but exceptionally managed. Usually in corporate mega monster hotels and this was a pl...
