Check in was good and went fast. We did pay and reserve ahead of time. We went over the 2013 4th of July weekend. I was a little worried about the reveiws but still wanted to check it out myself. My worst fears were comfirmed when we pulled up to the camp site! We payed extra for a theamed site so I kinda thought they would be nicer BOY WAS I WRONG! the eletric was on the neighbors camp site along with the water spout which they hung their garbage from. There dog was tied to a tree practically under the bed of the pop up. All night I was jolted out of my sleep from a barking dog and at 6:30am was woken up by extremely loud mariachi music. Other campers rudely used our site as a short cut to the bathroom! Speaking of the bathroom, toilets barely worked always out of order! Really, your running a campground for that many people and you have toilets meant for a house NOT a mass of people! Showers were just ok for rinsing off, but sucked for showering. You will wait in line for one because there was only three. Play area was fun for my 4yr old, she had a blast. My 7yr old was not impessed but did like the pool slide. The jacuzzi was over crowded and cold! The activites were fun (T-shirt coloring, statue painting, mini golf), however, make sure to use the bathroom by your site before doing the paddle boat, there's no bathroom there. With the theamed site we got a free pic with one of the characters. They at least could have put it on picture paper, not a piece of paper. All in all, I don't recommend you spend the extra money on the theamed sites NOT WORTH IT! STAY AWAY FROM SITE 36! The biggest redeeming feature at Jelly Stone was the staff. They were mostly high school and college age, but seemed professional for their age. We want to make the Dell's an annual trip, still very on the fence whether we will return there.
