Dealing with the reservations staff was very thorough and pleasant. There were special promotions going on, because Lake Delton was dry after the big storms in June. The discounts were added to my reservation, and I got a nice personal email from the desk agent.

Housekeeping just finished cleaning our 2BR 2bath unit at 4PM check-in time. It was nicely furnished, comparable to an economy or mid-range hotel. Full kitchen, new fridge, huge TV, everything worked, the AC kept it nice and cool. Carpet needs to be replaced. A fussy high-maintenance person would find things to nit-pick, but you get a pretty nice, big place with an awesome lakefront location, beaches, pools, decks, jacuzzis everywhere, and really close to all the attractions of Lake Delton and Wisconsin Dells. There's no reason to hang out in your room all day and obsess about the carpeting. The bed linens and towels were good quality and comfortable.

We enjoyed the outdoor pool by day and evening. Wish the lake had water in it, so we could do some boating. We will try again next year. Or over fall/winter because the condos all have a fireplace.

Seems like all the grounds had been fixed up recently, and the road in front was just widened and landscaped. I was told many condo units have been refurbished and all the decks and stairs are scheduled to be replaced in 2009. I would not hesitate to recommend this resort for any size party, a couple or large family. It might remind you of 80's style (thats when it was designed), even the poolside music on the PA fit the period, but that's what us 40-somethings like anyway.....

My wife and I stayed in #306. It was clean, had new appliances.
Both A/C units looked new and cooled the place just fine
The front room had new pull out beds, one queen and a single. It was close to the pool but far enough away so we did not here all the noise late in the evening. Jacuzzi tub was great and there was enough hot water. Flat screen tv's were nice.
There was road constructon at the time but it was not a big deal.
We will be back and request the same condo.
Pool was nice, there were plenty of chairs

The Caribbean Club is definitely past it's prime. We stayed in Unit 606--a "deluxe" 3BDR/2BA unit with a lake view. The first thing we noticed upon entering our unit was the front deck was in disrepair with loose boards and rails. That in itself was a lawsuit waiting to happen and needs to be repaired ASAP. The unit was spacious, however it was old and dirty. The carpet was absolutely filthy, so much so that we didn't walk on it in our bare feet. At minimum it needs a good steam cleaning, however tearing it out and replacing it with ceramic tile would be ideal (it is a lake front property and carpet is going to get sandy/dirty). The entire unit had an odd smell -- almost like a cat box. We burned candles and opened doors and windows to try to make it smell better.

The one good thing the place had going for it - what appeared to have been at one time a gorgeous view of the lake - is now gone, so it seems all the more reason to try to spruce this place up. Obviously, not the fault of the resort or the owners, the fact that the lake was gone did not impact my overall impression of the resort.

The kitchen was well equipped with dishes, microwave, toaster, coffee maker, fridge, etc, but the cabinetry is old, dirty and dated. The 2 bathrooms were both old and dirty and each came with just one roll of toilet paper. Our telephone did not work, so I had to get in my car and drive to the front office to obtain more toilet paper!

The bedrooms were spacious, however the linens were old and the beds uncomfortable. Also, the street lights and property lights were so bright at night, it was like daylight in the bedrooms. Some room darkening curtains would have been nice, as the cheap mini-blinds didn't cut it. The upstairs loft area was nice - 2 full beds and plenty of space, however the metal spiral staircase to get up there was very rickety and kind of loose. Also, there was gum stuck under one of the steps that was visible from the living room. Pretty gross.

My aunt and cousins stayed in Unit 615 and they had several problems, the first of which was the sofa bed in the living room was broken and the office was closed by the time they discovered it, so that posed a big problem at bed time. Also, when my cousin attempted to open the oven door, the entire handle fell off!

The kids had a nice time playing at the pool - there were plenty of chairs and tables and the pool itself appeared to be clean. This resort has potential, but definitely needs some cleaning and updates. My opinion would be to avoid units 606 and 615 until some updates are made.

I want to thank you for your comments concerning 606 and 615. I want to ensure you that the owners of these 2 condos have been contacted and are now in the process of upgrading and doing the repairs necessary to bring them up to our standards. Many of our condos have recently gone through the upgrades and I urge you to try us again.

I went to wisconsin for a quick ski trip last weekend and stayed at the carribean club - considering this is off-season for them we had a great experience. The rooms (we had a 2bd, 2br) were really nice and clean (somewhat dated, so if you care for such details go for the extra deluxe choice) - the place quiet and well taken- care of. The indoor pool/jacuzzi in quite nice, and they also have a sauna. All in all a great experience, I will probably go back in a couple of weeks.

This "resort" was not at all as their website described. The condo's were old, no central air, dirty floors, mold in shower. They claim a lakeside room, but the room was really overlooking a huge deck, but you could see the lake past all the people fishing, eating, drinking, etc. The pool has a very loud waterfall, which makes it hard to open your windows to relax. There is also a light that flashes on and off all night right into your windows. You have to take out your own garbage. The linens were very used and not clean feeling. Other people were complaining in the office about how dirty it was and what a waste of money it was. For $350 a night, it was a complete waste of money. We are filing a complain with American Express to refute the charges.
