“I love Birchcliff!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 7, 2010

I tell everyone about Birchcliff. My family and I have been going here for several years. Our annual trip in August is something that we look forward to all year. The wooded grounds are beautiful. The have been working hard since last year, new stairs in the pool, new fire pit and screen doors. So much to do while you are there ~ Volleyball, swimming, tennis, 2 ping pong tables, horseshoes, shuffleboard, game room, playground and a nightly campfire. The campfire is started every night by the owner. Plenty of wood for the fire ( you don't have to buy it). The cabin we stayed in was cabin 32. It is nicely decorated, very comfortable. We have stayed in the other duplex cabins all nicely decorated and comfortable. The owners are wonderful people, who obviously take a lot of pride in their resort. This place is just far enough away from all of the Dells attractions, you fell like you are not in the Dells. The grounds are filled with families and children playing. I couldn't imagine a summer without going to Birchcliff, we are definitely going back next year. If you like a big hotel with a water park, then this is not the place for you. If you like good family time, sounds of children laughing and maybe a good conversation by the campfire, this is the place for you!!

“Quiet, serene and loads of fun.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 30, 2010

Our family has been going to Birchcliff for years, starting with our honeymoon. Now, our family is grown and married, but we always spend a weekend in September with all of us.
If you are looking for a place to stay that doesn't have a waterpark and all the noise and crowds that go with it, THIS IS THE PLACE.

“Best Hidden Gem of the Dells”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 21, 2010

We enjoyed the Birchcliff Resort, excellent hospitality. It was close to everything but felt like we were away from everything, so peaceful. Very relaxing and enjoyable. We were so happy it included waterpark tickets to the Chula Vista Resort, this was just perfect for my family.

We definately will be going back, we are already looking foward to next year.

“Already planning next summer's trip!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 21, 2010

This was my family's first stay at Birchcliff Resort and we had a wonderful time. It is family owned and the staff is amazingly friendly and helpful. Our first night I realized that I forgot a hair brush and the gift shop didn't have any so one of the staff members actually picked one up for me at Walmart and left it on our picnic table. What service! We stayed in one of the "Old-Time" cabins. The cabin was very cute - well kept and well stocked with everything we needed to prepare basic meals for our family of four. The cabin had air conditioning which was very nice as it was in the 80s while we were there. The wooded grounds are beautiful. There is a good-sized, clean pool area, ping-pong, tennis court, basketball, a playground, and a number of other outdoor activities as well as an indoor rec-room. The location is great - quiet, peaceful, and tucked away in the woods yet within minutes of all the Dells attractions. I would highly recommend Birchcliff as an alternative to the loud, busy, huge waterpark hotels. We loved it and will be returning next summer!
