“Excellent food & wonderful service even at the end of the night”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 22, 2013

We went there over memorial day weekend near the end of the night and still had a great experience. The owner walked around greeting everyone warmly and made our family of 6 feel welcome (which isn't always the case w/a family w/small kids). Our waiter (tall dark-haired guy w/glasses) was friendly, responsive & helpful. The decor is great. Most importantly the food was excellent. The alligator stew was amazing! Gumbo had good flavor and mom loved the catfish. Great experience after our long drive in. Will make it a point to come here again next time we're in the dells.

“Overall we were impressed!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 20, 2013

We sat outside for lunch, they had a nice patio area and it was a beautiful day to eat outside! I ordered 1 crabcake with Cajan potatoes, garlic bread and coleslaw. The crabcake was delicious, very flavorful. The Cajan potatoes were nothing special, just a baked potato cut in half and sprinkled with hot spices. In hindsight, I should've ordered their French fries. The coleslaw and garlic bread were ok. Our waitress, Marji, was excellent, she brought out our food and drinks in a timely manner, gave my daughter some Mardi Gras beads, and told us where we can get great Wisconsin Dells deals.

“Food pretty good...service lousy!”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed June 18, 2013 via mobile

My family of 5 dined here on Monday the 17th of June. Our server (possibly on a J1 visa was god awful). She was clueless. I can't elaborate much more about her, as she truly should not be in the service industry. The food was decent, however the wait was horrific. The restaurant had maybe 20 people in it at the time of our order. We decided to leave after our apps because it was dreadfully slow and service absolutely amateur. The owners (husband and wife) were both there and touched the table twice each to check to see if we had been helped. I'd recommend to stay away unless you want to laugh or be extremely pissed. I feel sorry for the staff because they are all clueless and have NOT been trained AT ALL!!!

Sammy, June and their staff are great! The food cannot be beat, especially the crab fingers and oysters! Bon appétit!

“Great Cajun Food!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 15, 2013

I recently visited with my family and we were seated outside on the patio area. We had a nice view of a show that was going on right above the restaurant with music. the kids loved it. Our waitress was prompt and patient with us. We couldn't decide what to order because everything sounded good. She was great. I ordered the softshell crab po boy and a cup of gumbo. The sandwich was wonderful and it was the first time I had eaten soft shell crab. Great choice. It was served with boiled cajun potatoes which were delicious also. The gumbo was spicy and had a great flavor. The kids ordered chicken tenders which were small and pricey (5.99) for what they were and they charge you 2.50 for a childs drink. We also ordered alligator nuggets and a catfish po boy. Our bill was 98.00 which included some beers we had. This seemed pricey for lunch, but worth it if you want to try some authentic cajun food.
