The room itself was pretty average here. Our door lock was particularly confusing as the lights didn't function, and it opened up to a fairly cramped room. No fridge or much else for amenities, and the bed was pretty stiff. Downstairs we thought the pool area might offer some redemption, but the only things we found were a crowded area and green hot tub water.
On the bright sides, parking is very ample, the price was pretty good for the area, and the architecture and layout of the building are interesting. Although we weren't headed there that day, they did offer Noah's Ark passes in the room price, which considering the value of the tickets versus the room price, seemed very nice. The location is enough off the beaten path to seem quiet but close enough that you're still right in the Dells.
The worst offender of the experience may have been the breakfast. The area is far too small given the number of rooms, the spread was very thin (danishes, waffles, bananas, yogurt, and bread), and seating is very inadequate. We were in line for a good 3-4 minutes simply waiting for access to the coffee maker. At the very least, the room could use reorganizing to facilitate two lines, as the current use of space is pretty shoddy.
Overall, for the price I don't feel ripped off at all. I would say to skip breakfast and plan into your price savings to just stop at Denny's or something to grab some food. Plan your water time for the water park rather than the pool area, and you'll be fine.
