Small room. Distincly unpleasant smell. Very basic. One night was a "reward" night and one night was a paid night. They confused the free and paid reservations and no housekeeping was done in my room, since they thought I had checked-out. The
general environment of the hotel was not nearly as bad as the room, which also included a fairly uncomfortable bed and damp carpet. It's not the worse place that I've ever stayed, but close.
Days Inn gives this hotel a high (5 Sunshine) rating. I stayed in one of their hotels in Florida with the same rating and it was wonderful in every aspect. This one was not.

This hotel is centered in the heart of Wisconsin Dells--easy access to everything, right off the major highways. For the great location the price was right. Not a lot of frills. The hotel could use some touch-ups, but the pools (outside and inside) are nice, the beds are surprisingly comfortable, and the rooms are clean. The continental breakfast included nothing but bread, pastries, waffles and juice. If you want a well-rounded breakfast (fruit/yogurt/cereal) you will have to go out for breakfast, so you're not saving any money by having a continental breakfast, which was a disappointment. The staff was very helpful.

Head office is going to have to instruct this location to cease
and desist renting out any rooms with flood damage until repairs have been made. This should, after all, be covered by their insurance. I realize that this region was hit hard recently and I am sorry for their losses. However, the room that I was originally checked into was not fit for man nor beast. The furniature was severely water marked and the room smelled strongly of mold, which as you know is TOXIC. The only improvement that had been made so far was the addition of a dehumidifier inside the room, which was not even running when I arrived. I requested to be moved to another room on the upper level of the
establishment, which the very friendly and professional staff member obliged. If they had not been able to accomodate me I would have had to leave, with a full refund.

The good: Great location, free wireless internet, tanning, decent pools, discounts to local attractions, waffle/pastry/juice/coffee breakfast.

The bad: Beds hard as a rock, sleeper sofa broken, poor lighting in bathroom, A/C unit functioned poorly and was noisy, room decor dated, and room in need of thorough deep cleaning.

The ugly: Upon arrival, bathroom had used towel and washcloth from previous guest, also, used bar of soap left in shower and drain full of hair. G-A-G.

All in all, an OK place to sleep if you aren't planning on spending much time in your room.
