My adult daughter and I took advantage of the mid-winter "Great Escape" package offered in the January - early March timeframe for $199 plus $20 gratuities and $40 in taxes. This included a 2 night stay, two full buffet dinners, two full buffet breakfasts and a lunch. Virtually all (reasonable) beverages (coffee, soda, wine, beer and well drinks) were also included. The front desk check in was very disorganized and a long wait - we got there early and hoped the room would be ready, but it wasn't, so had to return four hours later and stand in line again. When we got to the room, it was not the kind we expected (a fireplace, but not a whirlpool I had upgraded to), so we were told to return to the lobby and stand in line a third time. Frustrated, I was told that the fine print on the upgrade indicated it wasn't guaranteed. From then on, the trip was much better. The food throughout was truly excellent and there was plenty of it. The wait service staff in the restaurants and bars were plentiful, but very spotty. They would just disappear. Very strange. They were accommodating, though, as my daughter has food allergy issues. Overall, we would return, because it was an incredible value and a very relaxing get-away, but don't expect perfect service.

Our family stayed at this resort March 14-16, 2013 and we had an amazing time. We first checked into a villa which was really nice but we needed separate rooms when traveling with children so called and spoke with Lisa at the front desk who was able to upgrade us for a fee (which was fine with us). We moved to the condo side and stayed in a 2 bedroom condo which was wonderful. We had a full kitchen, 2 fireplaces, jacuzzi and 2 bathrooms. The room was very clean and comfortable except the main sitting chair was broken. If you ever run into any problems ask for Jose at the front desk he is amazing. We had bought some gifts certificates for the market fresh buffet but lost them and Jose went above and beyond to help us recover our loss. He contacted the company for us to get copies of the certificates we had bought and ask the General Manager if he would accept copies instead of the actual vouchers. He got this all done for us and we were able to enjoy our dinner without spending an additional $100. The General Manager has some outstanding people working for him. Our children enjoyed the water park and the Easter Bunny visit during breakfast on Friday. We definitely will be back. Again, thank you the Lisa at the front desk with help with the upgrade, Jose at the front desk and General Manager for having amazing people working for him who made our stay enjoyable.

Went there over Christmas break with family. We had two condos, and they were completely immaculate and very comfortable. So much fun, we hope the regular rooms are just as nice as the condo was. Great staff-very accomodating. They gladly and quickly brought us an air mattress, extra bedding and extra towels, and were always willing to go above and beyond. Nice to have an indoor walkway to the waterpark, which was great. The kids in our familes are between 5 and 10 years old, so it was nice not to have a humungous waterpark like some of the other big ones in the Dells. There was fun stuff for all of us, and we could stay contained in the same area. Great for family with younger kids.

I have only stayed at this hotel once but I will definitely be returning! Chula Vista is a HUGE hotel with two separate indoor water parks. If you want your exercise, this is the hotel to go to, but on the other hand if you despise crowds, I wouldn't recommend it. Depending on where your room is located, you could be walking quite a ways to the water parks, front desk, restaurants, gift shops etc. The hotel has a lot to offer besides the water parks, such as; pottery/ceramic classes, arcade room, candy store, and more. The hotel is definitely family-oriented, but suitable for pretty much anyone and everyone! The water parks consist of a wave pool, a hot-tub that you can sit in either in/outdoor, a lazy river, a kiddie pool area, slides, and a mini-ropes course area. The rooms are unique, some of them equipped with two flat-screen TV's, a sofa with a pull-out bed, refrigerators, and microwaves in a small kitchenette area. The rooms give this northern woods appeal that makes you feel as if you're staying in a cabin in the woods. If you want to stay here expect to come with a lot of money because it isn't cheap, yet it's well worth it!!!!!
