This place was quite a bit more expensive than the Hampton Inn in Wausau, and didn't offer any continental breakfast. Further, it's an older property, and the furniture in our room was quite dated and worn.
The bed was extremely comfortable, however, and they do have lots of TV channels available. This, however, is not necessarily an amenity as they do not have any channel showing programming information and offer no other way to access that information. Thankfully, we had a computer, and after calling the front desk to get the name of their cable company, we were able to access a channel line up on line.
They have what they call a "bistro" in the lobby where you can purchase breakfast. I looked around and felt as though the food looked rather unappealing and the prices, for what was being offered, were a bit high in my book.
The reason I chose this hotel over the Hampton Inn is because they do have a restaurant in their parking lot, and as it was New Year's Eve, I was looking for a place we could eat and stay off of the roads.
I do have to compliment the gentleman who helped us at the front desk. He was very pleasant and accommodating. I would also add that there was a balcony in our room, however it overlooks a large freeway ramp, so I'm not sure what that adds.
Basically, there was nothing that stood out about this place....very average, but with the lack of a continental breakfast at a higher room price and finding nothing outstanding or even very attractive about the room, overall it adds up to a bit of a negative for me.
