Weasels has really good pizzas, made from scratch. The staff is sassy and hard working, the drinks are strong, the bar is dark and the ambience is addicting. It's the best bar in town, hands down.
They deliver, and their prices are reasonable. The people watching is almost always good.
A few caveats:
If you get delivery, they pack everything but the pizzas in stryofoam. Ecological concerns aside, this also results in steamed (i.e. soggy), potato chips and french fries -- not the ideal presentation. Order onion rings, and tell them "no chips."
The much touted lamb-burger is rarely handled correctly. It's too thin, overseasoned and overcooked. Too bad, because they really do raise their own lamb on a lovely farm just outside of town. Try the kebab instead and tell them to keep it rare.
The greek salad is often delicious, but occasionally over cheesed and over croutoned. Tell them to keep it light, unless your idea of a salad is something with as few vegetables as possible.
It can be a smoky place, and -- you know -- it's a bar, so if your kids are sensitive, maybe they shouldn't go there. Leave 'em at Grandmas and go have fun.
