“Staff and manager training would go a long way”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed January 15, 2014

We've visited Micheal's three times and while the regular food is always OK the evening specials have shined. The staff needs to be trained, NO gum chewing, NO standing around as business thins out, and Mr. Manager, NO job interviews in the diningroom while you have guests seated at tables. Are you kidding me? Prices are high unless you use one of Micheal's coupons, which they run monthly. I would never pay full price at this establishment.

“After dining at Michael's a dozen times, we have never been disappointed.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 7, 2014

Food is always very good and the service is very attentive. Server usually comes back to check how we are doing, multiple times. Nice decor and noise level is not too high. Drinks are well made and seem to be a good value( wine list could be larger). We will be returning when in Waukesha( we are not living in the 'Sha').

“Fix your recipes! Treat customers as guests and LISTEN to feedback, employ changes.”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed January 6, 2014

If you buy a certificate use it soon, and write feedback because hundreds will buy them and only two dozen will be thrilled. Seventy-five percent of people will be underwhelmed. We took friends who live in Waukesha and will never return. Humiliating. We spent $130 for four adults (no booze) and four kids ages 5, 6, 8 and 11.

This was the second time we had terrible service at this restaurant; this visit was in the end of December 2013. I took pics of the food and determined since they made no move to compensate (not even dessert), I would post a full, honest review. They chose poorly, so here goes.

Water didn't come for 15 minutes after our request even though there were six waitresses on the floor and at least two hosts at all times. Our kids were starved and appetizers of a salad, garlic bread and soup took 20 minutes. We had to repeatedly request water and drinks.

Then 25 minutes later the food started coming. First the pepperoni pizza arrived, pretty blah. Then 10 minutes later adult entrees arrived. A red sauce combination plate (lasagna, ravioli, spaghetti) was disappointing to our Italian food lover. The lasgna for friends was bland. The mushroom ravioli was various chopped, unseasoned mushrooms stuffed in six ravioli alone on a plate and doused in watery, light green pesto. I ordered blackened salmon which was flavored well, but BURNT black on the bottom served over angel hair and DROWNING in pesto. Waitress came back to ask how the food tasted, and we told her we didn't know since we were still waiting for meals! We waited 10 more minutes for our three spaghetti kids' meals to finally show up. Two of the three kids were disappointed with the spaghetti sauce. The five-year old ate it.

Waitress asked about my salmon, I told her I was very disappointed and had no interest in a to-go box, since it was so burnt. She said nothing and left.

Always good, never disappointed. We had Mussels in the white wine sauce and a Michaie's Salad with a bottle of Sterling Chard!! Nice date night and the staff was great.

“Always our favorite Italian Food in Waukesha”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 27, 2013 via mobile

I grew up in this town and being Italian, we never went out for Italian food. As a working adult, we finally came here and to our surprise LOVED many of the veal and seafood dishes. Service is good, and they always have coupons in the mail or online. We bring guests with us often.
