“Charged $250 for damage supposedly.”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed April 29, 2014 via mobile

My girlfriend was charged $250 dollars for incense damage. We used incense for the smell to fragrance the room. During our stay a security officer started bamming on the door, while we were relaxing. When my girlfriend opened the door, security asked, what was going on. Stunned! We reply with what do you mean. Security asked, if we were smoking, because he could see and maybe smell the incense smoke. We replied by saying no! We have lit incense in the room. Security loudly says stop it and accuses us of smoking marijuana. I tell him there is no law against incense and no marijuana was being smoked. Security then says stop it and if it continues police would be notified. A very uncomfortable experience "when incense was the only thing burning and creating an aroma. It was as if we were being judged because of incense. My girlfriend rented 3 rooms and bought water park passes. She gave this hotel, a good sum of money for a terrible experience. Upon leaving the hotel at checkout, nothing was mentioned about disturbances with the room. A happy face greeted us at the front desk completing checkout. Now my girlfriend noticed a $250 charge to her credit card for incense damage supposedly. Nothing was damaged within the room. A charge was made without showing any pictures of this damage. She was never notified and when my girlfriend tries to contact the person of interest regarding this matter, she keeps getting the run around. She has asked for pictures and still nothing. If your going to charge someone $250 for accusing them of damaging something, why wouldn't you contact them. Unprofessional and suspicious. Never again will we spend our hard earned money at this place to get treated like crap. Still waiting on the proof that's suppose to justify this charge.

The water park is perfect for little ones. We have a 7,5, and 3 year old. The rooms are outdated but served it's purpose (used for sleeping only). It was the same cost for us to get a room with water park passes included, than it was to get daily passes for the family, so the decision was easy.

Dear Dan S,

Thank you for sharing your feedback with us! We are pleased to hear that your family had an enjoyable visit to The Springs Water Park. Overnight water park packages are a great value and include access to the water park from 2p the day of check-in until park close the day of check-out. We hope your family visits us again soon for another splashtacular water park getaway!

Thank you,

We received Water Park Day Passes at Christmas, and they are worthless! We went with 8 kids -- a party of 10 -- and were denied admission because the park was full! We were there at 10 in the morning but because of bookings online and birthday parties, we were not admitted. Just imagine 8 kids all ready to swim and have some fun, and because of online admissions -- which you can't set up with your passes -- we could not go in. Now, over Spring Break, we tried to use the passes, and they are not valid for 2 Spring Break weeks. It is printed on the pass and I did miss it, but once again I brought my children ready to swim, and had to drag them out with a "Sorry" and a circle of the dates not valid. What is the value of these tickets then? Yes, they are purchased at a discounted rate, but when they are purchased, they are purchased by the hundreds and Country Springs makes a lot of money on them. Also, take a look at their pricing. They upcharge by $10 during the 2 weeks of Spring and Winter Breaks around here. Normally -- Monday thru Thursday -- the entrance fee to the waterpark is $15. Then, during the times when it is most convenient for local parents to use the facility, they increase their pricing over 40%. This is not a company who works in good faith. I would not recommend this place to anyone and I would definitely not recommend their Fundraising Program.

Teresa F:

Thank you for taking the time to share feedback on your water park admission tickets. We are very sorry to hear that your family was disappointed that the water park was sold out on the day you planned to visit. Admission tickets can be used most days of operation however, there are a few dates throughout the year the park may sell out. This is noted on the back of admission tickets along with blackout dates of Spring Break and Christmas Break. While we never want to turn a guest away, please know our top priority is to ensure a positive and safe experience for everyone in the park.

The Country Springs Hotel takes pride in offering local guests a splashtacular experience at a great value. Day pass pricing is $15 Monday – Thursday and $25 Friday – Sunday & during peak times. This pricing has not increased/changed since the water park opened in 2005.

If you would like to discuss further or would like assistance with planning a day in the park, we would welcome the opportunity to have your family visit. I can be reached at 262-970-5398 or at twoodward@countryspringshotel.com.

Thank you again,
Tiffany Woodward

The hotel is very clean, the staff is nice and prompt, the water park is great - not too big, not too small. It is perfect if you have younger children, you can actually relax while watching your kids playing and not constantly running behind them, or trying to find them like in the bigger crowded water parks.
We have come here few times already and it is always a good stay. I, too, don't understand the bad reviews left.. The price is almost three times less than, let's say Key Lime Cove. Maybe this hotel is not that new, however, the rooms are very clean, with free WiFi, the breakfast is good (included): cereal, toast, pastries, bagels, fruits, yogurt, several kind of juices, no, you don't get the Chef to cook a french toast or scramble eggs, but you get plenty.
For the review that said that it wasn't handicap accessible - it is. I am uploading a picture of one of the equipment by the pool. And yes, it could get crowded on the weekend. Which one doesn't??
For us this is a nice two three days escape from the big city, where the kids have a great time and we enjoy our stay every time.

Room Tip: We choose a room on the first floor with a back door to the inside court yard, really nice in warmer...

I stayed here related to business in march 2014. The good is that the service is good, the water park very nice, and the spa is nice. They have a nice conference center and it's close to the highway and MIlwaukee.

The less good include: dated rooms that are a little gross. The beds are comfy enough but the blanket on top had someone else's body hair (not head) which I find off putting. Everything was functional just not nice but consistent with a two star hotel.

It has very little handi-cap accessibility. The water park was over crowded and loud, the children were unsupervised even though they had signs up every where about supervising you child. The "lazy river" was mostly young kids slamming into you and pushing you. The beds were uncomfortable, the rooms were to small, the decor was outdated.

Room Tip: If you decide to got to this hotel stay in a suite!

I should preface this review by stating that I stayed here during a conference that was hosted in their meeting rooms, so the block of rooms they had reserved may not have been the best in the place. The room was average and very dated. The padding was falling off one of the chairs, one of the beds was tilted downward, the heater went from blowing cold air to extreme heat every 10 seconds, and the room was not soundproof at all. If you actually want a peaceful nights sleep, I would go somewhere else. You could hear everybody that walked (or ran, jumped, yelled) down the hall and I could hear my neighbors tv, even though I don't think they had it very loud. Clearly, they have not updated anything since the 90's.

Room Tip: I'm assuming the suites are nicer than the basic rooms, but I can't speak to that. All I wo...
