“Nice staff - For the most part...”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed May 19, 2014

The room was clean and well kept, but the lighting in the bathroom was terrible...hard to put on make up or do anything of a detail nature with lighting bordering on "nightlights". We were there for a wedding and left our room on Saturday at 12:30...we had a "do not disturb" up until we left the room and then I pocketed the sign as we left fro the 1:30 wedding...our room never got cleaned at all...even though other people in our party left after we did and their rooms were cleaned. When we inquired they said the housekeeping staff had marked down that our room had the sign out...that was well before they should have finished with the floor...no satisfaction on their failure other than they brought up a couple of bath towels.

Room Tip: They have handicapped rooms but you still need to be able to step into the tub to utilize the shower...

The hotel is convenient. It's clean has a pool and continental breakfast. It's right on the snowmobile trail and the gas station is right there also .The rooms are out of date and need much needed rehab of the rooms. The workers are friendly and nice . I would stay again .

We won 2 nights stay here and decided it was a good excuse for a winter getaway. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Steve at the front desk was exceptional. Very professional, attentive and pleasant. Excellent. Maybe he is a manager - if not, he certainly will be some day. The lobby is nice -up north theme. The room was average - could use a little TLC. Wallpaper is peeling, beds and pillows aren't the greatest, sink is cracked. It was clean, however, which is most important to us Pool area was OK - hot tub wasn't working right. Breakfast was fine - nice variety - plenty to choose from, but we are early birds so things aren't usually picked over at 6:30 am! Right off the freeway but nothing is in walking distance. Downtown is a short, easy drive. There was a wedding reception going on and a photographer was taking pictures in the lobby which made it nearly impossible to walk through without interrupting the photo shoot, that was rather annoying.

Really friendly people. Comfortable rooms. Nice variety for breakfast. Know that they set up the rooms with 3 sets of towels, but when we are paying for 4...give us an extra set of towels before we ask.

2 of 5 stars Reviewed August 2, 2013 via mobile

We stayed here for one night and it was awful. We had booked the room months in advance and even called early the day of arrival to confirm our reservation. When we got here they said the hotel was sold out and they were giving us a pool room. When I inquired I was told it was the same rate as a standard room. When we entered the room we couldn't believe the smell of chlorine. It was so strong it burned our eyes. Believe it or not-our 2nd floor room overlooked the pool and our ac unit vented into the pool area! We immediately called to complain and again was told the hotel was sold out and they couldn't give us another room unless they had a cancellation. In addition to this the mattresses looked old, the shower curtain rod was rusted and the comforters were old and the type you don't want to sit on. One phone was broken and we had to play with it to make a call. Also, there was no ice available on the second floor. We will never stay here again.

Stayed here for 1 night. Hotel was nice and clean. Nice rustic log rails in lobby. Breakfast was ok but limited. They had waffles, hard boiled eggs, lite yogurt, only plain bagels, only frosted flakes cereal, assorted granola bars, and some assorted pastries among other items. The room was very clean, but our bed sagged in the middle. No flat screen TV, and the blanket was a little thin and worn. Would I stay here again? Yes, but only for a night. I would not spend my entire vacation here.

Stayed here with senior citizen and children and enjoyed this hotel's swimming pool & whirlpool. The room was large and clean. Hot breakfast included oatmeal, waffles, boiled eggs, toast/bagels, cereal, yogurt and fresh fruit. Would definitely stay again! Front desk was polite and friendly!
