“Great hotel with nice suites and superb service”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 1, 2013

I stayed at Cranberry Lodge this week for a couple days, I was very pleased with the suite (Sand Hill Crane), it was spacious, very clean and the bedding was very comfortable. I was there for business so I did not take advantage of the pool area but it seems many people were. What set this place apart was the great service we received from the staff--Rachel checked on our small group, facilitated our lunch orders... Very nice. Breakfast was nice as well with fresh fruit available. Kudos!

Spent many hours in the fireplace room during a two-day work retreat. What a great atmosphere! Nice location right off highway. Service was beyond excellent. Lots of staff to accommodate all needs including lunch brought in to meetings. Didn't get the chance to indulge in the aquatic center, but looked super fun. Excited to return with the family!

My husband and I stayed in the honeymoon suite for a weekend getaway. The suite was bigger than expected and we enjoyed how inviting the room was. Our favorite aspect was the fireplace! It was nice to be able to relax in front of the fireplace and two big screen TVs. The overall feel of the hotel was great. The pool area was nice and it was enjoyable to be able to go to the waterpark at the Three Bears Lodge for free in Warrens! We especially enjoyed the complimentary breakfast. We were delighted to find out they even have waffle makers! We will definitely go back again.

We stayed at the Cranberry Lodge for a small business retreat. It was the perfect location for our Madison, WI partners to meet with our Minneapolis, MN partner. The rooms were cosy, amenities very nice and the customer service exceptional! The staff checked on us regularly, took our meal orders, picked up meals from local restaurants and delivered them to us. This saved us precious time during the retreat. There was brewed Starbucks coffee and ice water ready for us all day. We even made ourselves comfortable in the lobby near the fireplace for much of our brainstorming sessions. We were very pleased and intend to come back again!

We stayed at the Cranberry for a family wedding. It offers a continental breakfast. We stayed in the Mallard Suite which is very nice. They have a waterpark but the better one is at Three Bears in Warren which is just up the road. You only need to show your receipt for your stay and can get in free. We enjoyed the lazy river.

We just spent a weekend at Cranberry Country. We have 3 boys, ages 12, 10 and 5 and they all enjoyed the waterpark. They had waterslides for the younger kids and basketball and volleyball in the pool for the older kids and my older boys loved the huge TV in the pool area. It was great that we could also use the 3 Bears Water Park for free so it gave us plenty to do within the hotels. We didn't do anything outside the hotels! Decor is very nice, complimentary breakfast is great! Rooms were clean and plenty of room for all of us. We would definately stay again.

Upon arrival trash was overflowing from the trash receptacles and there were cigarette butts all over the place. I was greeted with a smile from a short heavier set woman with dark hair and glasses at the check in desk. I wasn’t told about breakfast or the waterpark at Three Bears; which we late found out we could have used on Friday night and were very disappointed about. I also later found out that she is a manager and if she didn’t provide information forthcoming I was wondering how well the rest of the staff would be. The late night desk girl is very sarcastic and she thinks this is cute but I find it downright RUDE!! The bar was very noisy and I had complained to her and she made a sarcastic remark and pretty much went on about her business. Later that night there was a lot of noise in my section of the hotel and when I called to complain the phone just rang and rang. My room was overall clean except for the bathroom and it really could use some elbow grease and some bleach. The floor looked like it hadn’t been mopped in months. (Very disgusting) The good part of the trip is the young lady on Saturday morning that explained to me the hours and procedures for utilizing waterpark at Three Bears Lodge. She also explained that there is no carry ins at all and that they would check our bags so to steer clear of sneaking stuff in. She was very nice to my kids as well and she gave each of them a sucker and told them if they were good to come see her on Sunday and she would give them another one. Another good part of our trip was the lady at breakfast she was very nice to my children as well and even helped them reach the fruit since it is kind of high up for them. Overall the Cranberry Country Lodge is a nice place to stay with your children if you get to utilize both waterparks. But watch out for the two rotten apples.

Room Tip: There is no restaurant but they offer you discounts to Ground Round and they need to train their sta...
