If you're planning a visit to Door Peninsula, I highly recommend booking your stay at The Reynolds House B & B. It's conveniently located in Sturgeon Bay on a residential street within strolling distance of shops and restaurants and an easy drive from everywhere else on the Peninsula.
Heather, the owner, will greet you with a wealth of historical facts and spot on tourist information -- and perhaps best of all -- homemade chocolate chip cherry cookies!
The Victorian house is charming top to bottom with its lovely gardens, huge front porch, period woodwork, and antiques throughout. It could not be cleaner. You won't be able to find a cobweb or speck of dust.
We stayed in the Macintosh room which is yellow and cheery and quite comfortable. The bathroom is large containing both a whirlpool tub and a separate shower.
The breakfasts are homemade by Heather from many of her own recipes. They are usually two courses beginning with fruit. The dishes are beautifully presented, delicious, and enormous. You will not leave hungry.
Chicagoans, you will likely think The Reynolds House is a real bargain! You'd pay twice as much in Chicago to get half what you get at The Reynolds House. If you're looking for a B & B experience, you cannot go wrong here.
