My husband and I were looking for a place to get a drink on a very cold and windy January Sunday afternoon. Nothing was open yet and we happened to walk past this place and peek in and see that it was open. We walk in and it was just us and the owner inside (her name is Dawn), she greeted us and we ordered a beer and a mimosa. Couple hours later and couple more drinks later we are in a great conversation with Dawn and some of the locals! Dawn tells us all about the Nautical Inn, shows us around, told us stories about Door County and some of the haunted places in DC! We had such a great time chatting up a storm that we came back for dinner that night! They only serve pizza on Sundays and Dawn made me a special pizza with no cheese! We met some of the guys that work on the ships, and the decor in the Nautical is authentic and the life rings on the wall are given to them by all different ships that come into the port. They have a lot of cool different antiques. And listening to the stories about the ships and where they come from was interesting! It was great, it's the perfect place to spend a Sunday afternoon having a few drinks and meeting new and great people and having a good conversation! Definitely worth a stop!!
