Stopped in here this weekend with my husband for a quick bite. Was the Sunday of July 4th so not really crowded but they had had a busy night the evening before. The bartender was nice and welcoming, the menu wasn't too big and the food was great - I would have rated this better but the owner was sitting at the end of the bar, loudly and obnoxiously chatting with a few locals whom I assume were his friends. He was making disparaging comments about gays & lesbians, as well as minority groups, and his ignorant and immature comments were quite offending. His voice was overpowering the bar and made our meal not very enjoyable. My husband made a comment, loud enough for him to hear, and he quieted down. The bartender seemed embarrassed about it too, but of course he probably couldn't say anything without getting in trouble with the owner.
We complimented the bartender and the cook on our way out as the food and service were good. However, with an owner like this running the place and sitting on his butt, making comments like this with customers around, I wouldn't recommend it. He made himself sound very ignorant and intolerant and if he wants his local friends to listen fine - but he'll go out of business soon if he doesn't watch what he says while patrons - especially out of towners - are in the place.
