My boyfriend and I stayed at the resort the first weekend in November and it was a perfect way to spend some chilly days together. The fireplace, hot tub and sauna were a much welcomed form of relaxation. They had lots of DVD's and board games to use which was pretty awesome. The front desk associates were extremely helpful in suggesting places to eat and places to see. Other than the fact that there was no juice, bottled water or any type of breakfast foods available, it was very nice. Would def go back.

  • Liked — The amenities i.e. sauna, whirlepool and fireplace. Full kitchen with everything you need was a bonus!
  • Disliked — Would have really enjoyed juice, milk and other breakfast items in the morning. Vending machine only had soda and candy.

Stayed for 4 nights with a large group (4 seperate rooms) and everyone was very pleased. Actually, everyone loved the place. Perfect for families. Because it's out of town a bit, it's much more secluded and quieter than it's sister property the Bridgeview which is right in downtown Sturgeon Bay. Beautiful lake views and lovely grounds. Don't expect the Four Seasons, but PERFECT for a family getaway.

We spent a week there in September and loved it. Our first trip to Door County and we couldn't have asked for a better hotel. The staff was quite helpful in providing suggestions on where to eat and visit. The room was a nice size, clean, and quiet. The grounds were in good shape and seemed to be well cared for. We'll be back next year!

“A Gem in Sturgeon Bay!”

The Westwood Shores is an excellent place to stay in Sturgeon Bay. It was extremely clean, which is my number one priority. Our room was perfect for a family of 4. There was a nice kitchen and living room with a bedroom on either side of the living room. The bathrooms were very nice and again very clean. The patio had a table with 4 chairs and a beautiful view of the bay. The grounds were well manicured and the staff was friendly. We also stayed in Sister Bay a few days after leaving Sturgeon Bay, while we traveled around the peninsula, taking in all the small towns. The Westwood Shores was a much better stay for the money. The towns aren't that far apart. We could have just stayed at the Westwood and made day trips to the other towns. The Westwood Shores was the closest thing to being home.

We had a great time at the Westwood Shores. People were very friendly, the place was beautiful and well-kept. The suites were very comfortable and roomy, with whirlpool tubs and other nice amenities. We would definitely go there again if we were heading to door county.
