“Quiet retreat for a couple days”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 24, 2013

We spent two nights at Bridgeport well after Labor Day to avoid crowds. The suite was convenient for inhouse breakfast, separate living room to sit to read while my wife was napping. The master bathroom was roomy and well-appointed. Front desk folks were friendly and helpful, with check-in and check-out taking only minutes. The 2nd floor view of the bay was nice, but weather was a little too chilly to take advantage of the balcony to sit outside (we were on shady side of building). The bed was comfortable, and the room was generally quiet except for late night walking and plumbing noises from the suite above. We used the fireplace one morning to take off the morning chill; the whirlpool remained unused.

Room Tip: First floor rooms not on water-view side will look through bushes screening from the immediately adj...

My family of four (2 adults, 2 preschoolers) stayed in a 2 bedroom partial view suite. The suite was roomy and bright. The kitchenette provided everything necessary to prepare simple meals for ding at the full sized table.
The view was nice, and even nicer were the two decks with access from each bedroom and the living area. The grounds and room seemed clean. The kids enjoyed both the indoor and outdoor pools.
There were several restaurants and shops walk able from the hotel, as well as a cute public beach.
Very pleasant and comfortable stay.

We really loved our suite. The room had everything we needed. This would be a great place to stay for an extended stay. We really liked the kitchenette space. We also enjoyed our private balcony seating, wonderful view, and the tub. Thanks for a great stay! We will be back!

We loved this resort. The room was awesome, if you could call it a room. It was actually more like a 2 bedroom apartment, with a full size kitchen fully stocked with everything you could imagine, living room with fireplace, dining room, 2 bedrooms with whirlpool, and 2 full bathrooms. We had a waterfront room and the view over the harbor was beautiful, we enjoyed watching the ships come into the shipping yard across the bay. The resort is within walking distant to the shopping area and many restaurants, the Maritime Museum was right across the street. To drive to Egg Harbor from this resort only took us 27 minutes, another 8 minutes to Fish Creek. Nothing was out of the way.

Room Tip: Spend the extra money for a harbor view room, it's well worth it.

We love this resort and have stayed here many times in the past. The pool area is great for kids of all ages. Rooms are spacious and clean. Staff is great! Highly recommend staying here if you are visiting Door County!

Room Tip: Ask for a room with water view and full kitchen.

The Bridgeport ended up being the hotel highlight of a 7-day trip. The rooms with views of the harbor are delightful and the hotel pool/whirlpool/sauna is really special. I recommend this place, especially if you expect to have some "hang around time" at the hotel.

Room Tip: Get a room with a view.

Very nice place. Waterfront rooms have a wonderful view. Didn't use the tub. It seems to need updating. Rooms were very quiet. The kitchen had everything I could possibly need. The fridge needed repair, but we turned in a repair request when we left. People need to let the desk know when something doesn't work properly otherwise how would they ever know. They have deals but you have to mention it in order to get it. We got 10% off and later found out we could have gotten restaurant coupons but we didn't know about it until after check in. We really like Sturgeon Bay because it doesn't feel so full of tourists and you have everything you could possibly need right there. The smaller towns are too crazy with people that don't know where their going. We would definatly go back. We've stayed at other places in Sturgeon Bay, but I think we found our new go to place in Door County.

Thank you for your comments Pam....

Please accept my apologies for the Staff's failure to share area restaurant discounts....and for the maintenance issue that you encountered - a significant amount of time is spent on ensuring the guest has an error free stay, it is unfortunate that you experienced issues with the refrigerator.

Rest assured your experience is the exception as to what you can normally expect at Bridgeport....your business is sincerely appreciated.
